Does the patch fix random stuttering!?

Sorry if this has already been posted, but im experiencing some quite bad framerate stutters. I have quite a decent system (Core 2 Extreme X6800, GeForce 8800GTX, 2GB RAM, Vista Ultimate) and i have the settings maxed out. I have tested with and without VSync enabled, and no change. The game runs fine, but the framerate stutters every few seconds, its quite noticeable, and quite annoying.

Does anyone else get this problem? Does the Beta patch fix it?

Ahh ballz.

Any .ini hack to fix it? It seems to be a problem for Gears of War too.
