Graphics problem

Hi, I have just installed the game and run the game and there is a problem with my graphics on my game it appears to be all fussy and distoreted and was wondering if anyone knew what the problem was do i have to change the settings or anything ? can someone please help

I have a Compaq presario sr1000 <- may be the problem but would it have installed in the 1st place if it was?

AMD Athlon XP 2.167 GHz
Installed RAM 512 MB
Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

Specs look pretty low to run UT3. Maybe try lowest settings and lowest resolution. You didn't mention a graphics card.
