There's a gazillion different hardware configurations out there with drivers behaving a little differently or not performing properly according to specs, so striking perfect performance and stability on every system is impossible and someone's got to be the unlucky kid.

On-Topic: Maybe your problem is the power supply couse i had the same problem that my pc kept freezing when doeing something that was to much.
like running bioshock and Oblivion. I noticed that my hard drive stopped making sound when it freezed so. Try a new power supply i suggest a bigger 1 to.

What you might try is to download Rad Video Tools & see if you can play the .bik files outside of the game. If they play correctly then the install is corrupted, if not it's probably a video driver issue. You never mentioned which display driver version you're using.

It could be anything. I had many problems with running Oblivion. It kept crashing no matter what I did. Turns out there was something with my PhysX card that was wonking my system. I took it out and it works fine now. There's so many variables in a computer. Sound card, video card, drivers, DirectX, motherboard, OS, etc. I have Bioshock and it runs fine, but I uninstalled it after I found it installed Starforce on my system. I'm not playing it until a patch is released (if at all). So maybe just hang onto it until there is a patch.

The game default is to slightly offset where you aim, compared to where the crosshairs of your HUD are, to either the left or to the right of it, depending on what hand you use. If you set WeaponHandPreference to HAND_Right then you will aim to the right of the crosshair, for example. So I set the bCenteredWeaponFire to True to fire at the center of your crosshair by default, regardless of which hand you choose, or if you use Hidden.

True or False? = Even though when holding a weapon in righthand the offset you see is only graphical, you still hit deadcenter always right? So no matter if you hold your weapon left or right, it will always hit in the center of your crosshair?

too many players has problems with freezing when playing mission videos, exacly me.. video running, and after second video freeze and repeating last 0,5 second of sound for ever, i trying ALL, reinstall drivers for my graphic, sound cards, processor drivers, directx.... and nothing..

i never play game what has more frequently crashes, and low stability then this unreal... really "thank you".. i buy original in germany and this is result..

maybe this game has really nice graphic, maybe has really nice engine.. but this all is for nothing if game again and again crashing when load maps or playing video, i release fix againist crashes when loading maps to multiplayer.. this works really nice.. with this fix my game never more crashed in loading proces to MP game.. but crashes with play bik movies i dont know fix, this must be any problem in engine or in source codes of your ut3.exe file, i trying fix this in dissambler on too many time without result.

nothing againist epic.. i love UT2004... but this is only expensive waster.
this game really be a failure me, now i cant buy USA or EUROPE coming version.. now this failure me and im absolutely give to air my money for this deutsch release, and if coming US and EUROPE release is some shi* , its not have any interest buy it.

i try say... release immediately any fix for your ****ed up exe file, because reading again and again any error with kernel32.dll in 00012a5b is really worst me.






and again really sorry for this extreme NEGATIVE post but.. this is true.. no words, this problem is speaked in this forums on toooo many times, and any admin from epic NEVER speak any opinion or possible way for fix, ye maybe speak any your counsels... remove AVG (i dont have AVG) , any bInitializeShadersOnDemand=True in ini file.. aND again nothing..
and if admin say only:
"If you are still unable to run the game please run through this post and submit your system specs/logs and we will try to help you out."
this is some absolutely for nothing. in ANY error file in logs is NOT any error showed, and if i to forum past this log.. nothing reaction.. again... game normally running and after second ended without any write in logs..

If your problem has to do with something in UT3 getting currupt, which thats what it sounds like. This should fix it. follow these step it will completly remove UT3 from your computer including any temp files regestry values and u can start from scratch. Even if u do a simple uninstall, there still will be traces of the game on your computer, somewere.

Uninstall the game and after u do this, make sure u delete the unreal tournament 3 folder in your My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3. If you dont do so, all your setting and if u messed with any INI setting, they will take effect your next install and u will probably be in the same situation your in now, thats if you problem is from one of those files .. Also check and make sure the UT3 folder in your programs files got deleted when u uninstalled the game, if not delete that also.

Now download this and run the regestry cleaner part of the program to clean out any UT3 values left over in your regestry"there will be some" And just for sh*ts and giggles also run the file cleaner part of the program that way u clear our all the junk files on your computer

Now reinstall the game, At least this way u can start from scratch. U said the demo worked fine, the retail should also.
