    Changing stored game password

    Hello guys,

    I have a small problem, i still run our clan private server. It's there for ages and still thanks Pred for it . THOUGH, as it's been here for ages password is known from everyone and it's pretty stupid to have a private server and every one enter here as they are at home.......
    I tried of course to modify it in webadmin (first things i tried few days after i got access to webadmin interface years ago), no effect anymore after a server restart.
    I tried to modify some inis lines i thought related to it, like:

    ;[ServerPassword UTUIDataProvider_MenuOption]
    OptionSet=Server
    DataStoreMarkup=<Registry:ServerPassword>
    OptionType=UTOT_EditBox
    EditboxMaxLength=16

    I even, in case of... set "DataStoreMarkup=" , no effect either.
    tried in various place in the ini and the defaultinigame or whatever it's called, NO effects.

    Well, it's logical it's stored somewhere, problem is AFTER a reset of the server, pass get resetted to the one everyone fkn knows..........

    -> "No problem dude, don't reset the server duh..." => Yeah, ofc but server seem to restart everyday at a given hour and i don't know how to remove that either....

    So could someone help me to fix this? Saying me where and what i have to precisely change to make it effective.

    I would be really grateful.

    Thanks in advance.

    The passwords are set in two places, in the command line and in utgame.ini

    In UTGame.ini
    [Engine.AccessControl]
    GamePassword=
    AdminPassword=

    It has been awhile since I tried this test but if memory servers me correctly, what ever is set in the UTGame.ini, it gets overridden by what the command line passwords are.
    Which would be why you need to keep resetting your password/s. Try looking at your command line.

      In addition:
      You can change both passwords via WebAdmin.
      Code:
      /ServerAdmin/settings/general/passwords

            yeah i got this, just u didn't precised which "command line" and where to find it. i Talk about this one:

            it gets overridden by what the command line passwords are.
            Which would be why you need to keep resetting your password/s. Try looking at your command line.
            When the Server starts, it will use the command line options if they are there but if there is none, it will use the UTGame.ini settings.
            This way you won't have to change the command line just to set new passwords.
            .

            thanks in advance
