    MultiCore Force Core

I googled some more and found this... i adjusted the batchfiles we use now

    ANSWER:

    CPU3 CPU2 CPU1 CPU0 Bin Hex
    ================================
    OFF OFF OFF ON = 0001 = 1
    OFF OFF ON OFF = 0010 = 2
    OFF OFF ON ON = 0011 = 3
    OFF ON OFF OFF = 0100 = 4
    OFF ON OFF ON = 0101 = 5
    OFF ON ON OFF = 0110 = 6
    OFF ON ON ON = 0111 = 7
    ON OFF OFF OFF = 1000 = 8
    ON OFF OFF ON = 1001 = 9
    ON OFF ON OFF = 1010 = A
    ON OFF ON ON = 1011 = B
    ON ON OFF OFF = 1100 = C
    ON ON OFF ON = 1101 = D
    ON ON ON OFF = 1110 = E
    ON ON ON ON = 1111 = F

You use the HEX value for the /affinity switch..
    IE in batchfile you enter:
    Code:
    c:
    cd\
    cd Servers\MP\UT3\ServerVCTF\Binaries
    start /affinity 4 ut3-vctf.exe server VCTF-WinterBridge?Game=UTGameContent.UTVehicleCTFGame_Content?Mutator=R3PORTERv101.R3PORTER,RBTTNews.MutNews,TalkingIcon.TalkingIconMut,UT3Stats.UT3Stats,SkeetTeamRemix.SkeetTeamRemix?maxplayers=18?Numplay=6?MaxSpectators=2?TimeLimit=20?AdminPassword=xxx -login=xxx -password=xxx -nohomedir -configsubdir=vctfconfig -port=2020 -queryport=2021 -unattended

If you have Vista, server 2008 or win 7 follow this: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/

XP you will need to get a third party software package to do that.

That site isn't entirely correct. For one, this also works on Windows XP and probably Windows 2000 as well. Second, the affinity is set using a hex value to specify which CPUs, so if you have eight virtual processors and use "/affinity 2c" then CPUs 2,3, and 5 will be used.

What i AM wondering about though..
What does Windows set the core to if you dont assign one manually? Yes, it enables all cores on the program but unless that
program supports using multiple cores its gonna use only 1, which one?

Hello, well thanks Zunnie thats very cool of u, i have to admit that i dont see keuter anymore neither on msn or on ut but i technically quit ut, i just play because i rented a ut3 server for a year in an xcited mood but i am not much playing anymore, i sometimes try to help people with ut still but thats everything.I hardly play on my rented server.

Maby i shouldnt have said anything maby i overeacted in a sad mood of mine, i guess i cant bring the old times back not even by trying to help people or commenting on stuff ,maby Zunnie u should see this more spreadly based and maby give new people a change too and promote UT and MP-Gaming

                  Good Luck and Thanks!

About the cores ,ive read that 4 cores where max used, 6 cores than 2 are not used and 8 cores i am not sure i havent done my homeowrk on that yet but i think also just 4 cores in use, so buying more than 4 cores cpu at this moment is waste of money i think, for the best overall performance i recommend 64bits support ,the funny thing is i am still running on a socket 478 pc and a atom netbook :P

                    Good Luck.
