    well, it's pretty stable, utcomp has bugs like all versions (Rarely it throws some NullPointerExceptions, but nothing that will kill your server).
    This version 4 - is as good as the last 3.1, it has ping compensation, that is a must have.

    i started writing a new mutator for all that stuff (mainly for learning) - but dude, that is the real pain
    Maybe one day i finish it...

    back on topic, utcomp is a must have, i really recommend it

    Lot's of half-way decent guides out there for first time server setup. Here's the one that I used and, incidentally, the first one that worked for me.

    If the server is crashing with the web admin, make sure you have the right version for the version of UT3 you are running. I ran into that as well.

    I suggest you guys to use UTComp voting

    and i agree, it's a pain to setup a server for the first time

    this package includes, utcomp, duelremover,webadmin and some tweaks in the ini files
    (must be unpacked over ut3 2.0)

    you can see the server running here: 201.68.52.131:7777

    it's just a test server, running on a VM with very low resources - performance is ****, anyway, it's just for testing purposes

    Do those .inis only work for dedicated servers? I made a non-dedicated server and was still unable to vote for anything in the vote tab.

    you testing this by yourself? if so change

    MinMidGameVotes=2

    to MinMidGameVotes=1

    also I would think you would need to have a couple maps to choose from

    My UTMapLists.ini > note there are a couple semi colons in front of the games I don't plan to run, I have not tested this yet but it should very well work so you would not have to cut anything out of the ini

    Check this out. It says DM-Deimos is the only map available for deathmatch, but when I start a deathmatch server the map is Arsenal and there are no maps to vote for, but when the timelimit runs out a random map is chosen as the next map.

    How can I get some control is choosing what maps to have?

    Why are there two copies of each .ini? One in my documents and one in the root UT3 folder?

    Is the root ut3 .ini a backup in case it cannot find the .inis in my documents? And do the .ini files in my documents completely override those of the UT3 root .ini files?

    Pain in the butt to set up a server

    I tried setting up a server. Had to fix my NAT issue, has to download the webadmin mod, mess with it for a bit, mess with maplists, voting, sorting through tons of INIs just to find individual lines...

    And it still doesnt work. Votemap isnt working for me, custom maplists arent working, and just having the webadmin thing enabled makes UT3 dedicated server crash.

    Is there a really easy step-by-step guide to setting up a dedicated/listen server with some basic commands like changemap or kickplayer?
