Need help with PC dedicated server for PS3

    It would either be a section like "virtual servers" or "port forwarding" in your router - they are all different depending on the brand (Belkin vs LinkSys etc). Basically your router broadcast's your house as one IP address and behind it are mulitple different IP addresses but to the outside world they all appear as one. Port forwarding (or virtual server) tells your router that whenever a network request for any of those ports comes in, send it to your PC (vs. your laptop or PS3). What's happening currently is that the request is coming in, but your not defining in your router where that request should go so the request goes nowhere. Try going to Google and searching for "port forwarding" - that might help too.

        its not the routher i connected my comp. to the modem and it still didnt work does modems had firewalls to??
