Question about Map Voting

As I explained, the only time that map voting gets turned off is when you run a single player game, or when you don't have enough maps in the list; neither of those are bugs and there are no other circumstances where the code will automatically disable voting.
If, however, you edit the .ini while the server is running, then the whole .ini gets reset when you close the server; that isn't a bug either.

I set allow mapvote=true in the .ini , click on SAVE, I start a server WITH multiple maps, mapvote is not there and when I check , the.ini file is changed back. This happens without playing single player, and with multiple maps. You can say nothing else will change it, but, that won't make it true. Just like Epic not being able to duplicate the demo guy bug that everyone else gets.
Apart from a mod interfering, there isn't anything else which would reset voting (and if it is a mod, that's not a problem with UT3 it's a problem with the mod).

2. when u say in GROUPS of certain maps, do you mean like: have ppl vote for DM GAMETYPE and then have them vote for DM MAPS? is so i dont think there have been any mapvotes like that yet for UT3, BUT im sure there are, another thing you can do is basically BIND IT to your keys lol, so when u log in as ADMIN, and you want to change the game from DM to like say CTF you bind to for example: numpad 1= utgame.utdeathmatch?etc etc etc and then numpad 2= utgame.utctf?etcetc
3. the webadmin from elmuerte is sooo easy to add and remove maps by just CLICKING
Originally posted by Grasshopper View PostI have used this successfully a couple times, but, the .ini file keeps reverting back to "false". After I change it to "true" , I hit save. It works once and the next time it doesn't. Why does the .ini keep changing back? It's really irritating.
JUST INSTALL WEBADMIN! (sorry i raised my voice there)
its soooooooooooooo easy.
follow the steps in my THread http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=612389
and when you are in your WEBADMIN all you do is go to MAPCYCLE, then ADD ALL THE MAPS you want, hit SAVE,
then go to CHANGE GAME (in the webadmin) at the bottom select CHANGE GAME
and mapvote WILL BE ENABLE. I mean the thing is great!
just TRUST ME.

Just highlight it by clicking on it and then use the arrows on the right to move it. It's not a fast process. The is no option like "sort by" that would do it faster. You can't mix game types like having some Warfare and some Deathmatch, but, you can put them in any order you like.
