    Lag Issues?

    Hi.

Ok i finally got the server running, everything is good.

The server was even full today, there are 20 spaces and we are currently playing TDM.

Sometimes though, weather there are 4 people on the server or 20 people on the server, it will begin to lag, the will be a delay before the gun fires and if you change your weapon then it will not change and stuff like that.

We are running the 1.2 patch so all that is up to date.

Anyone know what i can do/change to make it not lag, i would really appreciate an answer as every time it happends it makes at least 3/4 of the players leave.

    HELP ME LOL.

    Thank you.

Need a bit more info about your available bandwidth (specifically upload), server specs and location. It's also possible for players to lag the whole server when they themselves are laggin' hard from a high ping.

      Operating System?
      Hardware?
      Available Bandwidth?
Anything else running on said system?
      Hosted from home?

This would be some good info to get the ball rolling a bit.

We are running 2 Linux-roots with patch 1.2, very good hardware.
The temporary lag exists in 1.1 too.
But now in Version 1.2 it is a MonsterLag.
It is not possible to play one hour without a big lag on the servers.

hard to troubleshoot lag issues w/o peeps posting what they have for bandwidth available to the server. Are these rented servers? Are you running them from your home cable/dsl?

Both servers are rented servers with local 100Mbit and connected to Frankfurt Backbone up to 20Gbit.

He could have a personal T1. Especially for 64 players.
