    More server help needed!

    Okay. I'm working on a UT04 dedicated server (yes, I know I should post this in the UT04 forums, but they aren't very active) and I've gotten to the point where I can find my server in the Internet Server Browser, but the Ping says N/A and the other server info that is in the bottom left hand box isn't showing anything either. I've already configured ports on my router and I deactivate my software firewall on my server computer. The server comp is running WinXP Home Edition, 2GHz processor, and 512 RAM. I can right click on the server name and bring up the IP, 71.170.216.186:51679. Whenever anyone tries to connect, they get stuck at the Connecting...(F10 CANCELS) screen. I opened up port 51679 on the router for both TCP and UDP traffic. Ports 7777, 7778, and 7787 have been opened up for UDP traffic. Port 28902 has been opened for TCP traffic and so has port 80 for TCP to allow for remote WebAdmin. If I've missed any ports or if anyone has any sugesstions it would be greatly appreciated.

    Your IP address port should be 7777 not 51779

    You must have changed that in the UT2004.ini so try putting it back to 7777

    Also you as a client connecting Local to that server YOU will be able to see the server in the internet browser but you will not be able to connect to it from there as a LAN client. You have to connect from the LAN browser.

    Anyone else should be able to connect via the internet browser that is if you got it set up right!

    BTW 2GHz processor, and 512 RAM might be a bit low end to run a decent server. The memory for sure is a tad low but it still should work for maybe 4 to 6 players tops!

      I checked the "Port=7777" like you said and I am still getting a port number of 51679 and the ping is still N/A. I've got a couple of friends that are willing to help test for connecting.

            You got something messed up in your UT2004.ini or somewhere and I hope you have not messed with the Default.ini!

              That just happens when I bring up the advanced options window by right clicking the icon in the notification area by the clock and it brings up the menu with all the different things you can change, then dropping down the options in the Networking Tab and clicking on Server Beacon. That's what triggers

                Well the log looks ok and your geting a heart beat which means the server is active and should be ok!

                Only things i can think of which I said before is an issue with ports not being forwared properly or a firewall blocking so?
