Can you see hacks in spectator mode if some1 is using them. I just banned some1 off my server cuz it was megakill after megakill and I watched him for awhile but did not see anything different except like 1 shot kills.
Thank you.
No, you won't see their hacks. And you shouldn't kick someone "just because" its mega kill after mega kill. If its a small map and a UT vet is playing, he's gonna get mega after mega... by picking the right weapon for the job and evading.
What you need to look for from an obvious hack is screen jerking. If one second he's looking right... and it IMMEDIATELY looks at a player and his cursor is not deviating from that player while he's shooting... he's "locking on." And you need to remove him.
Also, it will "lock on" to the closest player... so you'll see his screen jerk back and forth while firing between players who's distance from the cheater is changing.
Just don't be a noobie admin and ban just because someone goes dominating or gets frequent mega kills.
Spectate a game with just bots in it... turn all the bots on godlike ... and behindview 0 (I think it is in ut3... what ever looks like first person)... watch how the bots play... an obvious cheat will look similar to that. Good luck on trying to catch the less obvious cheaters!
Thank you for the response. Do I have to config it to do behind view because it is hard to tell in 3rd person. He was locking on back and forth from players. I don't know people were complaining so I banned him. If he dont like it he can visit my site. It's hard to be a server admin and make every1 happy. I have been an admin on a server for a lot of games and will not ban unless I think right.

No, just go into spectator mode and hit tab and type 'behindview 0' and that'll put you into first person spectator mode and if his view is really jerky [and not because of lag] then it is likely a bot, or he has insane mouse sensitivity
