      I looked at your past posts on these forums and cant find any others where you talked about your redirect. Can you post your commandline and the redirect section of your UTEngine.ini file?

          Wolverine - what is the path to the UTEngine.ini file that you are updating?

          You should be using this config:
          [IpDrv.HTTPDownload]
          RedirectToURL=http://www.mysite.com/redirect/
          ProxyServerHost=
          ProxyServerPort=
          UseCompression=False

              Two things -
              1. I dont know why you posted an FTP site. I surely hope that you are not trying to use an FTP site as a redirect.
              2. what is the path to the UTEngine.ini file that you are updating? Is it \Documents and Settings\Wolverine\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config\UTEngine.ini ?

                thats because i rent the server trough gameserver, and i showing you the path to the UTEngine.ini file which would be....

                ftp://8.9.9.36/ut3/UTGame/Config/UTEngine.ini

                and the custom content is hosted on mysite which im linking the redirect info to. which is

                [IpDrv.HTTPDownload]
                RedirectToURL=http://www.mysite.com/redirect/
                ProxyServerHost=

                  Hmm.... ok that doesnt make any sense to me. I just want to make sure that you are editing the correct UTEngine.ini file at the correct location, given your commandline. Also, once you make changes to your .ini files the server has to be restarted in order to load the new configuration.

                      Does this effect non voted in map rotations as well?

                      I have redirect working just fine but have been troubleshooting an issue where when it gets to a custom map thats in the map rotation that you don't have, it errors and says 'Bad URL' and names just the name of the custom map file. Then if I reconnect it downloads the file just fine.

                        That is exactly what the bug is.

                              Well, I've read everything on this forum and others about the temporary way to handle re-directs and followed the advise. In addition, my server provider asked me which file extensions would be redirected and I sent them to him and it still doesn't work. The following is the problem as I described it in my work ticket. I have not heard back from them and if anyone reading this sees a glaring error in what I have done, I would certainly appreciate hearing from you.

                              cRaZyLaDy*SIG*

                              --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                              Well, folks, sorry to say, but I am still having problems. I know that there is a glitch in UT3 when you try pushing maps this way where when you try to connect to a custom map you receive a message that says the URL is invalid, but you are supposed to try again and it will connect. Well, when I OK the message and back out, I lose map vote and the server reverts to the previous map played. In addition to that, even if I can get past the message, I get another message saying that downloading the package for the map failed due to an error in opening file.

                              Okay, so here are my settings in the .ini file:

                              UTENGINE.INI

                              [IpDrv.TcpNetDriver]
                              AllowDownloads=False (I CHANGED THIS FROM TRUE)
                              ConnectionTimeout=30.0
                              InitialConnectTimeout=200.0
                              AckTimeout=1.0
                              KeepAliveTime=0.2
                              MaxClientRate=15000
                              MaxInternetClientRate=10000
                              RelevantTimeout=5.0
                              SpawnPrioritySeconds=1.0
                              ServerTravelPause=4.0
                              NetServerMaxTickRate=30
                              LanServerMaxTickRate=35
                              DownloadManagers=IpDrv.HTTPDownload
                              DownloadManagers=Engine.ChannelDownload
                              NetConnectionClassName=IpDrv.TcpipConnection

                              [IpDrv.HTTPDownload] THIS IS ALL NEW STUFF ADDED)
                              RedirectToURL=http://defcongaming.com/sigclan/UT3
                              ProxyServerHost=
                              ProxyServerPort=3128
                              UseCompression=False

                              FILES:

                              Map .ini, ut3, upk are all in CustomMaps under CookedPC

                              NOW IN ADDITION THE MAP PROBLEM:

                              I have been successfully pushing a small mutator without redirects. The .u file for it is in CookedPC and the .ini is in Config. Since I have been fooling around with the other settings for the redirects, I am no longer able to download this without getting an"Sownloading packe failed due to Error Opening File.

                              EEK!!!! Any ideas??

                                Transform this:
                                AllowDownloads=False -> AllowDownloads=True
                                RedirectToURL=http://defcongaming.com/sigclan/UT3 -> RedirectToURL=http://defcongaming.com/sigclan/UT3/
                                This wont fix the url problem but will fix at least the invalid file i hope.
