    Lowest End Machine Test

I am just curious how low end of a machine some of you have tested UT3 on. I myself installed it on my sons machine just to get a peek and see how it would run. It ran fine, turned it down a tad and ran smooth as silk. Through him into a map with 15 bots and it brought him down to 34-38 FPS. So am sure it will run smooth on Game Day (Release Date).

    His System Specs:
    DFI Lan Party UT MB
    Athlon 64 3500
    EVGA Nvidia 6600 GT
    1 Gig BFG Ram
    250 Gig SATA HD

If his system can run it I am sure 90% of everyone else's can. So show me your stuff, whats the bottom end machine you have tested and was able to run it smoothly on.

I had another thread ranting on how my experience with this demo was

    UT3 Open Beta Demo video:
    5 Godlike Bots on HeatRay

    System Specs:
    INTELR ABIT USA IL-8 Motherboard
    2.66GhZ Single-Core Intel Pentium 4 Processor
1536 MB DDR2 SDRAM (PqiMemory Brand)
NVidia GeForce 7300GS 512MB Video Memory
Game resolution @ 1024x768 on Optiquest Q7 LCD
    81GB Hard Drive
Creative Live! Sound Blaster 24-Bit Sound Card
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2
    vid cooresponds with the specs.
i like it, hopefully they optimized it even more?

My friend was running it with the following specs:

      GeForce 5700
      athlon 64 3700 @ 2.4 ghz
      1GB ram

He was able to play several online games, though it did crash occasionally, that was a reasonably steady 15fps though a rather small (yet stretched to fullscreen) 320x120 resolution. Also needless to say, all options at minimum.

        im running

athlon 64 3000 @1.91 ghz(was required to oc it a bit to run after install )
        Geforce 7800GS
        1 gig ram

after tweaking the ini i get a solid 50 fps and it looks awesome!
        Max FPs is over 85

As soon as I get off my lazy butt and stop PLAYING the demo, I'm going to test it on some of my older hardware to see how well it does.

          2.4Ghz Pentium 4 Northwood
ATi Radeon 9500ish 64 or 32MB of DDR RAM(Somewhere around there) AGP
Either 512MB or 1Gb of RAM

          AMD 3600+ Brisbane
          6800GS Overclocked 256MB PCI-e
          2GB DDR800

          Runs rock solid on my
          1.86Ghz Pentium M Dothan
          2GB DDR533
          7800GTX Overclocked

I got it working on my low spec computer

            Barton 2500
            512mb x1600 pro agp
            1.5 gb memory
soundblaster 5.1 (wouldnt run with the audigy)

Framerates 20-30 ish and graphics understandibly poor.

As long as I dont move or shoot its great!

The game didnt like overclocking which is shame.

this is worth looking into for us pos pc tweaking ****'

My config is low because of the videocard (though i think its not a bad card, but FPS says else):

                AThlon 64 x2 3800+@2,4ghz
                2 GB ram

And i get good rates too, but on heatray, when the hologram is visible, the framerate drops a lot, and on the other dm map (i dont remember the name^^), on the amp area the same.
My settings are 800x600 all lowest

so, is this map related, or is it my card? if the last one, will i get better FPS in the retail version of ut3, or will i be able to make the game look even worse in exchange for better fps (because fps>graphics here)

                  Wrong thread afriendlycow.

                  My specs:

                  Pentium 4 2.8GHz HT
                  1GB DDR2 400 RAM
                  80GB 7200RPM SATA3 Hard Drive
                  GeForce 7600GT

Runs beautifully at 1024x768 all settings maxed. I get around 45fps, and no lower than 28fps in intense firefights with 15 bots on all maps.

                    Athlon 64 3400+
                    1GB DDR-400
                    GeForce 7300GS

Runs pretty tight at second to lowest video settings offline, and a little bit of lag online.

                      AMD 64 x2 4200
                      ATI 2600 pro AGP
                      2 gigs ram
                      WinXp Home

Every thing runs great at 1680x1050. And all settings at the highest level.

                        AMD 64 3700+ SanDiego
                        EVGA 256m 6800GS SUPERCLOCKED
EVGA SLI SATA MOBO )N9sli or watever(
                        3 Gigs PC3200
                        Running WinXpPro

On 1024/768 both graphics settings on 4
getting 30-40 (lowest 23 while looking across the bridge thru everyone in server)

Weird thing is how good my performance is, while Im running my own Server on the same machine FULL with 13 other ppl in it.

#UF# Server : we will have dedicated linux boxes ready when EPIC releases the goods

Please post your DirectX / Graphics Driver / Chipset Driver versions to help people adjusting their system.

                          AMD Athlon X2 4200+
ASUS M2nVP-Deluxe or whatever with radeon 3200 xpress chipset
                          4 GB DDR-RAM 400
                          Sapphire Radeon x1900 GT 256MB DDR3
Windows XP SP2 / Vista 64 bit Ultimate
                          Sound: Creative X-Fi Ultimate Gamer

In both OS' the game tends to be choppy. I Only got a framerate of 40 FPS max and sometimes/very often framerates of under 20 fps.

Obviously something's wrong with my system, or i'm going mad!

                            AMD Athlon XP 2600+
                            Asus A7n8x-VM (Nforce 2)
                            1 GB DDR 333
Nvidia Geforce 6800 128 MB (driver version 94.24, DirectX 9.0c)
                            Onboard Nvidia audio
                            Windows XP SP2

At 1440x900, I get framerates of ~25 indoors and ~15 outdoors on VCTF-Suspense, with the low being 9 and the high 35. This was with default bot settings, no AA or AF, texture and world settings on 2, screen percent at 100 and all of the post processing turned off. I forced bloom, FoD, and everything except dynamic lights off in the ini.

It looked beautiful, and I was rather surprised I was getting such great framrates for this system.

                              Here's my specs:
