    Code:
    [UTGame.UTDeathMessage]
    bNoConsoleDeathMessages=True

    [UTGame.UTTeamDeathMessage]
    bNoConsoleDeathMessages=True
    (UTGame.ini) set it as False and be happy by viewing all death messages.

    Code:
    bViewAccelerationEnabled=True
    (UTGame.ini) set it as False and play without mouse acceleration

    Code:
    AllowD3D10=True
    (UTEngine.ini) i don't need dx10 so i've set it to false

    In UTWeapon.ini add to every weapon
    Code:
    CrosshairColor=(R=255,G=255,B=255,A=255)
    and set every crosshire to your fav color Something like this:
    Code:
    [UTGame.UTWeap_LinkGun]
    Priority=5
    bTargetFrictionEnabled=TRUE
    bTargetAdhesionEnabled=TRUE
    CrosshairColor=(R=0,G=255,B=0,A=255)

    [UTGame.UTWeap_RocketLauncher]
    Priority=10
    CrosshairColor=(R=255,G=0,B=0,A=255)
    R=Red G=Green B=Blue A=Alpha

        Some great tweaks here, thanks! Glad to get rid of the "misty" look. Now there's colours in the game again.

        I'd like to remove "screen flashes" (that annoying thing that happens when you take damage) too, but I haven't found that in the ini files.

            There's way too many useful tweaks here to thank everyone individualy but it has sure helped me enjoy the game alot more now.

            With the loading/startup screens out of the way it sure takes less time to go through the loading process and with some of the other tweaks given out in the thread I've been able to notch up my framerate even further.

            Two questions I would like to ask about the UI/HUD and one about the visuals:
            • Can you change the colour of the HUD? Like you could in UT1?
            • Can the croshair be changed in anyway besides colour and simple/weapon style? I personally would like mine to be smaller.
            • One thing I hate right now about the graphics is that the textures seem to blur out even if they aren't too far from you. Also I've even noticed some objects (lights, slabs of concrete etc. on the ) simply vanish if you are far enough from them. Even if doing this cuts down my framerate it would help make up a lot more consistent game world.

              in UTGame.ini set
              Code:
              bShowDamage=true
              to false it must be it

                "UT3 has encountered an error and needs to close....etc"
                Set everything in the utengine.ini back to the same before........same problem!

                Any ideas?

                    as i know in this demo there is no swap...about OnRelease and Piped i'm not sure, but it looks like they are not here.

                      Is there any way to force antialiasing on, for instance, my X1900XT?

                        there is a way to force AA with nvidia cards by forcing the drivers to think UT3 is bioshock, and changing the name of the exe to bioshock.exe

                        dunno about ATi cards.

                          No doubt another file was changed, or it is an unrelated issue, like drivers..

                            I have to change the .ini file in My Documents/My Games/Unreal Tournament 3 Demo/UTGame/Config/UTEngine.ini, right?

                            Thanks.

                              Hi

                              i had to post this info at our clan for guys with vista, i dont have vista but there been no complaints, info came from from here, cant find the post

                              Vista info
                              If you are on vista, open up explorer click on C drive and find "My Documents\My Games\" to locate these files. Vista is also having permission problems on these files, causing all changes ingame to revert back to default each time, to resolve this copy these files over too Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config and then start up the game, a dialog will pop up, updating old config files... click "Yes To All"

                              Hope this helps
