It's not silly. This location allows multiple Windows users on the same PC to have separate profiles. I know plenty of people who grew up with UT and had siblings -- they were always fighting about settings and how to handle .ini files. Sure, a .bat/.cmd file woudl have helped, but...well, this is out-of-box. Much easier.
Just deal with it.

The best method is actually the following:
;StartupMovies=Copyright_PC
;StartupMovies=EpicLogo
;StartupMovies=MidwayLogo
;StartupMovies=UE3_logo
;StartupMovies=Nvidia_PC
;StartupMovies=Intel_Duo_Logo
;StartupMovies=UT_loadmovie1
That ; remarks out the command entirely. No need for any further editing.

Anyone know if we can keep the bloom/glow effects on objects, the reason i say this is, playing with full bloom/glow is like putting on someone else's glasses, its a full screen blurr, which seems like the effect is global pass and not object texture based pass.
MotionBlur=False
DepthOfField=False
Bloom=False
QualityBloom=False
As you can see the global bloom/glow has been removed, but so has object bloom/glow, the health vial has no feel to it.
All on true
As you can see ive used the health vial as a example, the second screen is how i want my objects to look but with out the global bloom/glow to everything, and the first is how i want my global atmosphere to look, ive tried quite a few settings but, its either full on or full off, just from the depthoffield setting i think.
