If you are not satisfied with your game's performance, or all the excessive blur/bloom effects etc, try some of these tweaks. You can find the ini in:
My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config\UTEngine.ini
DO NOT CUT AND PASTE OVER THE ENTIRE SECTION! I have merely included a few of the settings for you to compare to your own.
[SystemSettings]
MotionBlur=False <-cuts out unnecessary blur fx
DepthOfField=False <-same
Bloom=True
QualityBloom=False <-unsure, but probably helps
Trilinear=False <-improves FPS
Colors will appear more vibrant and the game will feel more like previous UT's. Excessive FX are just unnecessary and I think it's a shame that people have to dig in the ini's just to disable them to get the game to look how they expect.
Make your ini read only after applying these settings.
Curious what the settings below do:
AllowD3D10=False <-I set this, not sure if it actually affects anything in XP
DetailMode=2 <-very curious what this is
