    i cannot run the game, period.
    it takes a little longer to open up than i would think a game would take, but when it goes to actually load up the game, i get an error saying "unreal has encountered an error and needs to close" and the resolution is set to 800x600 and 4bit, and only restarting fixes this.

    event viewer gives me this log concerning ut3demo.exe

    running the latest drivers, the latest sound drivers, i run my monitor at 1280x1024 normally (this is what it maxes out as). they are VGA monitors but im using the VGA-DVI adapter that comes with my 256mb 7600gt.
    nothing is overclocked in my system.

    EDIT: if it wasnt apparant by reading the logfile i have a:
    athlon64 3800+ (single core)
    1gb of DDR3200 ram running in dual channel mode
    256mb 7600gt
    its installed on a IDE 7200rpm seagate

        ive got a radeon mobility 9700 and all i can see is little pixels flying across the screen help!

          every time i go to run the demo it either goes to a blank black screen then my moniter says no signal or it plays the intros then when its about to go to the menu itsgoes to a blackscreen and crashes

            SLI FIX

            Change "Multi-GPU Performace Mode" to "Force Alternate Frame Rendering 2" in the NVIDIA Control Panel



            I was getting horrible mouse lag and pathetic FPS. Tried updating my drivers to the 163.75 and the issue still persisted. Fooled around with the SLI settings and found that the only one that didn't cause the chop was force alternate frame rendering 2.

            AMD Opteron 185
            Abit AN8-SLI
            2GB DDR
            Geforce 7950GX2
            Creative soundblaster X-Fi

                Like I said in my other thread

                I installed the game.
                But if I try to launch it (I have Windows Vista) it says "Unreal Tournament 3 demo.exe (or whatever) stopped working" and it closes the program. I have the specs because I have a 1.86GHZ Intel Dual 2 Core CPU, 2GB of RAM and Integrated graphics using Intel GMA 950..........Why won't the game work?

                  I found a solution to my problem earlier.
                  When I ran the game, it showed the splash screen, and then it quit.
                  When I disabled the sound in the UTEngine.ini file, the game ran fine.
                  But now I figured why the game didn't work with sound turned on .
                  The OpenAL driver wasn't installed on my system, and it wasn't included in the UT3 Beta Setup.
                  So if you are having similar issues you can try and download the OpenAL driver here:

                    Yes I have... I did 800x600 and all settings lowest possible. I got 60 to 70 fps and it still choppy. I don't think its the fps that is the problem...
                    My enlgish isn't very well and I can't explain in details.

                    This needs to get fixed asap! Anyone else have the same problem?

                    I have Quad Core 6600, 2GB ram, 8600gt 512 mb and Vista home 32 premium.

                          Aaand I'm not sure how to show you the minidump file... I have it, but I don't know if I can attatch it... was going to post my dxdiag too... oh well, i'll post it if you need it.

                          PROBLEM:

                          Upon beginning an actual game (after selecting mode and bots and all that) I get to the countdown before the match starts and right after "1" my entire PC shuts down.

                          This was on Default settings.

                          Afterward, I tried taking the resolution to 800x600 and all other settings to minimum. I managed to play through all (3) games perfectly fine.

                          I upped the settings to 5 after this but stayed on 800x600 resolution. This time I got through two games and at the end of the second game, on the screen that showed all participating players, my pc froze and connection to my monitor shut down and it read "No Signal". To be sure I just left for a while and came back, nothing had happened and it was still off.

                          Please let me know if there is anymore detail I can give you as far as "what I did" although this pretty much sums it up.

                          NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT/GTO I installed "163.71_forceware_winxp_32bit_english_whql.exe " recently but when I look at "Driver Version" in Device Manager it says "6.14.11.6371" so I'm not sure if its right or not.

                          Windows XP Professional 2002 (Service Pack 2)

                          AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+
                          2.41 GHz, 3.00 GB of RAM (although 4GB are installed in the rig)

                                The last 5 digits of your driver version are the ones usually looked at. So when you say, "6.14.11.6371" that is 163.71. You are using the latest Nvidia drivers.
