    In Setup for keys. It does not reconize a MX518 Mouse.

    This mouse works perfect for UT2k4.

    Using belkin N52 and made a profile since mouse setting not workin.

      Did you add this game in Setpoint?

        Open My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config\UTEngine.ini

        Change the line
        bInitializeShadersOnDemand=False
        to
        bInitializeShadersOnDemand=True

        Edit:*RESTART BEFORE TRYING TO RUN THE DEMO AGAIN*

        Does it still crash?
        I don't see a UTEngine.ini?

          Maybe this is nothing... but I noticed some lines starting with 2 semicolons...
          My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config\UTEngine.ini
          Code:
          [Engine.PackagesToForceCookPerMap]
          Map=UTM-MissionSelection
          Package=UI_Scenes_Campaign
          ;;.Package=UI_FrontEnd_Art

            Are you an admin? If so, it will be in Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config. Sorry, forgot to mention that.

                    *EDIT*if I remember correctly it was in 640x480 on its default load when it first worked which my monitor wouldnt like I imagine.

                    Hi Jooka,

                    Thank you very much for the log.

                    From the log it looks like you're running in 640x480. Your monitor (as all monitors) should support normal 640x480 resolution (VGA). The specs at http://www.dell.com/downloads/emea/p...07FP_%20EN.pdf also says that 640x480 is supported.

                    As far as I can tell, the display driver crashes early on and when we try to check what resolutions it supports we don't get any response at all. That's when we abort with a critical error.

                    To be able to reproduce the problem on our end, it would help a lot if you could send us your dxdiag report. Go to "START" -> "Run...", type in "dxdiag". When the dialog box pops up, hit the button "Save All Information..." and save the report to a text file.

                    If you think there may be some resolution issues you can try to make a shortcut to the executable and add this to the commandline: -resx=1280 -resy=1024. This will override the normal resolution settings. Try different resoltions.

                      Uhhh issue here, where can i find a crash log?

                      1st loaded it up, made account, wont let me log in (firewalls etc off) so went offline, fiddled with some games settings, fine, played instant action offline, fine, graphics were at max for some reason, looked low when i was on high, exited, loaded back up, still couldnt login, so ticked "auto login" then went offline again, played same map and match, crashed on load to map, exited again, loaded up, crashes at splash screen, and here I am now ={

                        Runs very good on max. Settings, but sometimes the loading screen freezes and I have to Alt+Tab out and into the game again to get it working.
                        I'm using Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

                          According to the windows update yes. It can't fidn any other updates. So my OS is most likely up to date.

                          But after a bit more testing I found out it was another problem.
                          With all settings on lowest details possible... I get average of 40 to 50 fps. Sometimes it can reach to 30ish all of a sudden for a short moment.
                          With all maxed out at 1680x1050 and full details possible. I get 25 to 30 fps and 15 to 25 when under heavy combat.

                          Doesn't this seem a bit weird how the game scales with hardware? This just makes me wonder how people with a Pentium 4 and poor grafix card can play this game on medium settings.

                          I have a Quad Core 6600, 2GB Ram and 8600 gt 512mb (drivers 163.69 up to date.), vista 32 bit home premium. (up to date)

                          I have noticed my game really lags and hitches and plays very choppy even when the fps is on 40 to 50. Not always choppy... but mostly when under heavy fire and multiple opponents on the screen. Like 4 enemies or 6.

                          Its completely unplayable for me.

                          I can do Inhuman instagib mode with UT2k4 and it will be easy for me.
                          But with this game I can't aim! There is something wrong with the framerates.

                            What do you mean by good? what is your fps when under heavy fire by multiple opponents?

                                Beta Engine Issue

                                Don't know if this is the right thread, but I don't want to waste space by starting a new thread.

                                Installed Beta perfectly Everything is fine until I start Instant Action. The game runs smooth and perfect for about 10-20 secs then all sound goes and the frame rate drops to 1 or 0 frames per sec. Sometimes it comes back to maybe 2 frames per sec but never recovers. Hope that's something that will be looked into for the full version. Also while going into the settings menu while this issue occurs, all text and options have dissapeared from the UI.

                                But, from the 20 or so secs I got to play, the game is looking very cool. an't wait to get the full version providing this is an issue that I can find some tips on resolving or I hear is common enough that it was resolved.

                                Nice work Epic, lookinng good.
                                My specs below.

                                Motherboard: ECS NF 650iSLIT-A.
                                CPU:Pentium Q6600 2.4ghz cooled with Arctic cooling Freezer 7 pro.
                                Ram: 4gb Corsair ddr2 6400 800ghz (3.25gb effective due to 32bit Windows)
                                Graphics: BFG 8800 gts OC2 640mb ram running forceware 163.71.
                                Sound: Soundblaster Audigy Se (I know, I know).
                                250gb Samsung Sata2 hard drive.
                                Windows XP pro SP2.

                                I think that's it, let me know if I missed anything taht may help the issue.

                                Cheers.

                                (EDIT)
                                Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am running it on 1280x1024 on high settings.
                                Just managed to play for two minutes perfectly but then this issue occured again. I have checked my system temps too. Cpu is stable at 40 degrees and GPU is in safe temps.
