    Game crashes down everytime after a map is loaded.

      When trying to load the game, it will make the current screen just go black and some times after a little waiting it will crash.

      Okay I have more than enough logs on the Kernel32.dll crash, thanks guys. We're looking into it. Can you try this potential workaround:

      If you are an administrator, Open: Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config\UTEngine.ini
      Otherwise open: My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config\UTEngine.ini

      bInitializeShadersOnDemand=False
      to
      bInitializeShadersOnDemand=True

      Edit:*RESTART BEFORE TRYING TO RUN THE DEMO AGAIN*

      Does it still crash?
      This method works a charm also i cant remember where i read this but people who are using UK keyboards and are having problems with the @ in the email then just use note pad and copy-paste over a "@"

        I got Radeon 9600 pro, AMD 2400+ and 512MB memory. The game crashes after I click the exe.

          You can read my hardware in my signature. The game load fast! I play with 1280x1024 and all of maximum detail level,but i have a problem in Shangrilan (or something like this). See the picture....is my only problem in the game! The rest is perfect, audio and video.

            massive input latency problem

            for some reason when im trying to move and look at the same time im experiencing masive input lag. it just keeps moving even though i dont give any input. moving on its own works fine and so does looking around, but using these 2 together makes the game unplayable. and you can see for obvious reasons that its impossible to play when you can only either walk or look around.

            the game is essentialy unplayable.

            frame rate does seem to be but of an influence here, im getting fluctuation between about 20 to 40 on 640x480 on low settings. the lower the frame rate the worse the problem seems to be. engine stats also give me about a 90 to 120ms render tick for the input latency category.

            im running a:
            P4 2.8 HT
            2 GB ram
            Geforce 7900GS
            and windows vista ultimate.
            logitec MX510
            MS standard keyboard

            hope some one can help out since i wasnt able to find anything on these forums about this specific problem.

            on a side note, i have been trying all the INI settings that have to do with input and/or performmance, nothing seems to help

              it started the game into the menu first, but now it doesn`t even do that either...


              there is no UTgame/logs at all o.O , ima try - reinstalling it now.

                I tried a few times to play the demo but never succeed :
                - 3 times it crashed before the videos
                - 1 time it crashed just after the videos
                - 1 time it crashed when the match was starting
                I've never been able to play .

                    I'm getting frequent mid-game crashes. The screen locks up with the last thing I saw before the crash still on, sound keeps looping. It seems to happen mostly when I die.
                    In my case I know windows is still running in the background (I can see the mouse cursor), but I can't see what I'm doing because UT3 is still on the screen. When I run UT3 in a window, I can close it off manually and get the message that the process is no longer responding.

                    OS: Windows XP Professional, SP2 installed
                    Motherboard: ASRock 939A8X-M
                    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2000MHz
                    RAM: 1GB
                    Video card: Club3d ATi Radeon 9700 (mint, regular, common, boring non-pro)

                    Video card drivers: Catalyst 6.12 (8.321; DXDiag says Driver Version 6.14.0010.6652)

                    I am running the game at 1024*768.

                        I used this to minimize lag/swapping at the beginning of the game :

                        5) Under [Engine.ISVHacks] heading, find the line that says UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=False.

                        Instead of doing that, it just made the start of the game really, REALLY laggy and stuttering. I had 10x more swapping than normally. So, it's not for the better on my computer.

                          The error comes when the game change my Resolution (to enter on menu). Blackscreen and then, puff.

                          I tried to install/run on my laptop (with a ATI graphic card - ATI X1400) and game runs well.
                          Having same issues I had with the bio shock demo opens up then black screen and closes down your pc. Nivida driver nv4_dll error tryed latest drivers no joy.Running the ET quake wars demo and game without a hitch but bio shock and ut3 demo just crash.
                          Win xp /Geforce 6600 le /Pent 4 cpu 3.00ghz/1.00gb ram.
                          Want to play this game soo much but cant be hassed with kakky demos.Any suggetions that work?

                              The Game Runs well, but i can't load the map HeatRay. With the nVidia driver 162.18 i had graphical problems (blinking sky and weird blinking triangles) so i installed the Driver 163.44 as suggested in the release notes file. Now, when i try to load the map heatRay, the loading screen appears, i see the map for a short time (with very low texture detail) and then the game crashes and the resolution is set to 640x480 with 16 colors. After a while my screen enters stand-by mode, because there is no more output from the videocard (not even the 16-colors-backup output) so i have to reboot.

                              can't make screenshots of this, when the game crashes (sometimes i don't even see my desktop after this so here you see a video i made of it:

                              There is no *.log file in my Demo-Directory (/UTgame) i send you my dxdiag if you want but its too long to post here

                                I double click the shortcut, I get the splash screen. The machine 'thinks' about it for maybe 30 sec. or so and then pops up a black screen. About 2 seconds later my monitors turn themselves off. If I turn them back on, there's nothing there. UT ate my vid card! Hehehe.
                                I waited for a while and listened to hear if anything would come up since the machine was still actively processesing something but I never heard any menu music or anything. About 5 min later I gave up and had to reboot.
                                I did this 3 times, except for the listenting for the music.
