    Highlighting an actor

    I want to somehow "highlight" the actor the player is "looking at.

    I do a trace and can get a handle on the object it hits.

    I am only doing this for a few classes.

    How would you guys suggest I make it highlighted?

    I could try a light overhead I suppose, but that's a bit odd.

    Is there a way to change skins or ambientGlow at runtime?

    I'm Happy to provide clarification.

    You can do like the DestroyableObjectives do for Assault and give it a UV2 map.

      You can give it a little bit of AmbientGlow. Maybe set it to 50 or so. Or you can draw something around it on the HUD, etc. Spawn a projector at his feet (imagine a hero's leadership radius in WC3).
