Tile meshes that light up when you're on one

I'd like to have floor sections that appear to light up (without actually using dynamic lighting) when you walk on them. I plan to do this by having 128x128 or 64x64 tile meshes that change textures when you walk on one.

I'm more of a level designer, and even then I don't know about much of the features such as triggers. But it seems that doing it with triggers would be a long and tedious procedure if I have a few dozen of these tiles around the map. Is there a way to create a custom actor to do this?

    Making a Billie Jean map?

Dicky B (although that might be cool)

I think just using the OnTouch() event (function?) would do it nicely.

You can assign a mesh to code (think of the CTF Flag), but I dont quite know how.

If you want to learn unrealscript, click the link in my sig and scroll down a little.
