Weapon with no ICON ?

    Weapon with no ICON ?

    normally , weapons have icons on the status bar.
    but my custom weapon has no icon...
    why is it so?
    how can i make one(import?) ?
    do i need to write some scripts in defaultproperties in order to bring the icon into the status bar?

    in your default properties
    Code:
    IconMaterial=Material'HudContent.Generic.HUD'
    Sets what texture the icon is in
    and since that particluar texture is an arrangement of about 30+ icons
    Code:
    IconCoords=(X1=0,Y1=0,X2=2,Y2=2)
    is the coordinates of said icon in the texture


    That particular texture also has variatioins the hud uses to do being hit effects, so make sure you use the same naming conventions and makes the same varioations so your new textures does the same thing

      just to clarify, if u look at that texture in unrealEd, ull c that its a collection of All the HUD textures in UT2004, so u can use one of theirs by changing the icon coordinates, or make ur own (small) texture and load that up.

        I wonder if you have to specify coordinates in your own texture? Does anyone know?

          if you have more than 1 HUD element, yes, but if its a small texture with one element, then no. But you may have to include the icon coordinates if the texture size is too big even if theres only one element because the texture has to be powers of 2.

            Yeah some of the icons are off of poweres of 2 (like the ammo icon)
