Your Name left a Small Crater!

This problem has occured in many vehicles I've made. This happens mainly in turrets for vehicles. When you take control of the turret and move around, at one point you "leave a small crater." Also, if one teammate is in the turret and you suddenly switch positions to another gun (leaving the driver seat empty) while moving, the teammate is usually crushed and the blame is laid on you. Anyone have any idea why this happens and how to fix it?

I know the "left a small crater" thing goes back to either the player model or camera angle colliding with the parent vehicle geometery during rotations.
