    BR Ball in Assault Gametype

    Hi

    I've been searching for an solution to use the br ball (xgame.xbomflag) in a assault map. It must be used sames as in the BR gametype.
    And the Ball have to activate a trigger, when hit it.

    Someone told me, that I have to script this one. But I don't know how to script, so I ask you peoples here, to help me out.

    Well, you'll need to be more specific about what you want to do. So far all I can tell you is yes, you will need to do some scripting and make a custom version of the ball to work in AS.

      ok, i've found a solution. here is my script:


      function BeginPlay()
      {
      Super.BeginPlay();
      myFlag = Spawn(FlagType, self);

      if (myFlag==None)
      {
      warn(Self$" could not spawn flag of type '"$FlagType$"' at "$location);
      return;
      }
      else
      myFlag.HomeBase = self;

      Spawn(class'XGame.xBombBase',self,,Location-vect(0,0,60),Rotation);
      }


      so i can spawn a br ball in assault modus. But now i want to use the ball to use a trigger (when the ball hit the trigger). what i have to do ?

        I've never worked with triggers, but I'm thinking there are two ways to approach that: customize the ball, or customize the trigger.

          decorations->xBombDeliveryHole, try extending that and make its touch function trigger a trigger.

          could also extend xBombDelivery so it spawns a yourBombDeliveryHole instead, that way you get your bombing run goal too
