    Maya Skeleton

    I have modeled and textured a character for Unreal Tournament 2004 in Maya, but I want to make a skeleton for animation. Thing is I have set up all the joints I need where I need them. However whenever I try to connect the arm joints to the spine it says both are siblings. I know what that means, but how can I make the joints for the spine considered parents in the hierarchy?

      select the intended child joint. select the intended parent joint. use Edit->Parent. joints should connect in a hierarchy (Maya 5 PLE).
