Work when its a brush, not when its a mesh

I made a couple of block of 64UU over one a another, the player must jump to go on top.

At some place I put some 32UU block so that the player can walk to the top. Since my map really need optimisation in that area I decided to convert the 32UU block mesh, but now the player can only walk on top of the 32UU mesh and he is uneable to climb the 32UU left to be on top of the 64UU block.

I don't undertand why the distance is still the same.

afaik a player is only able to climb a 24UU step, standard size is 16UU.

His there a lot more stuff like that, that should know???

I still don't understand why I was able to walk on 32UU brush when a did my test step.

brushes and meshes collide differently. bsp, brushes, use cylinder, i believe. it is possible to chamfer a corner, and be able to stand completely off of the chamfer, and not fall. but if it were a mesh, you would slide.

as far as where you can get that info, you can ask. or you can search these forums. or you can perform the tests like the ones before you, lol.
