    How can I ceate zone where weapons do not work?

    Help,

    I'm tweaking a map to play a trick on a fragger that we haven't played with for a while.

    What I want to do is teleport him to jail and keep there so we can all go and laugh at him and take some nice screenshots.

    I made the jail and set-up the teleporter. The bars are close enough that he can't use the translocator to get out, but he could frag himself and re-spawn.

    Is there anyway to create a volume where his weapons will not function?

    My back-up plan is to just watch the jail, and when he goes in there, use the "vomit" command from the UAdmin mutator.

    BTW ... I need to set this up tonight.

    I think you can set up a volume where no one gets hurt (bNeutral I think)...but not no weapons will work type thing...

      Okay thanks, I'll check that out ... Basically, I just don't want him to frag himself to get out of the jail. I can use the UAdmin "vomit" command to make him drop his weapons, I just don't want him to frag himself before I use the "vomit" command. I can only set the trap once, so I wan this to work the first time.

        We just talked this out on another thread and bNeutralZone will make it impossible for any player to take any damage of any kind, including damage from falling from way way up in the sky [or so it's reported].

          Well all he needs to do it tab in "suicide" and hit enter and he wont need to frag himself or tab in "reconnect" or whatever.

          If killing himself with his own weapons is the only way he knows to get out of being stuck then he must be a total noob!

          Anyway there are many ways you can do what you want. You can make a blocking volume or volumes and make that blocking volume a class blocker and block what ever classes you want.

          A physics volume with bNeutral=true will prevent all from killing each other with weapons ect when you are inside of it. But you can still commit suicide.

          You can use a limitation volume and set the limits on weapons of your choice or projectiles.

          you can make invisible static mesh walls that prevent anything from passing through like a solid glass chamber.

          I would probably make a blocking volume that surrounds the jail then set it to be a class blocker and set all the projectile classes ect as the classes you want to be blocked. Then when he shoots the weapon it just will shoot blanks!

            Or, just put one playerstart in the map, in the jail, and then you spectate to take the screenie.

                Add a Blocking volume in the level then right click to open its properties. In there is another BlockingVolume towards the top of the props box. Open there and set bclassblocker=true and then below that is where you can add all the classes you want to block with the scroll down arrow. You might need to load classes if you cant find the thing you want. :alien:
