    grrr

    why dont they name the packages sensible names, i can never find the right texture, etc because of this.
    why don't they have packages named like:
    mud
    rock
    lava
    etc
    etc

    is there a way to open every file so you can browse the lot
    if so can this be done with static meshes sounds etc

    Yes, you can open all packages in one go. Go to open a file (it can be textures, static meshes - anything) and press Ctrl-A to select all of them. Then press 'Open' and wait for a minute whilst it loads them all. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a lot of RAM though (at least 512MB) otherwise you will probably run out, which will slow the editor right down.

      As for figuring out what's in what package, good freaking luck. :haha: I really wish Epic would just sit down and reorganize all the meshes and textures into obvious names, some kind of convention set at the beginning would have really helped. :bulb:

          too bad ya couldnt tag files and sort them.

          just an add on that could remember the file names and the tags you associate it with, without altering anything.

          even an export option for that !! so lists could be shared.

          ....and of course ..integration of the viewer would be nice too.

            Maybe if you get a licencse, they send you a version that changes the names. : )
