You want to probably use emitters. I haven't made one myself, but you could take a peek at other maps with waterfalls too.

    Here's some emitter info.

i made a waterfall once by using 2 terrains. it looked great but took along time. made the mountain then add terrain 2 with a water texture and added a mist emitter. the water is animated too

Making waterfalls is easy. Get a large rock or hill with a vertican face and a bunch of water and pour.

You could make a decent looking waterfall in a 3d app really easily! I'd suggest using a plane with about 6 faces vertically and diagonally. Then convert to an editable polygon, and use soft selection to adjust the vertices to give it a naturally flowing look. At the top, you would want to curve the top two faces over, so that it has that "spilling" look. Depending on how much detail you want, you might need to add a few more faces with an edge extrusion. All in all, it would probably only take about 30 minutes to make a decent waterfall and unwrap it.

Er... I was just going to tell you, but I figured it wouldn't take long, so I whipped up one you could use if you want. Feel free to use/edit it as much as you'd like.

Here is a zip with the .ASE file and a test map with the mesh embedded into the myLevel package.

            Enjoy!
