    CrateDM's CrateGun - have your say!

    Well CrateDM beta 1.9 is almost ready, and this time I've added the all mighty CrateGun



    What is CrateDM?

    Based on the original Quake2 mod, CrateDM puts players in a map full of randomly placed crates, the catch is: the players themselves are crates, indistinguishable from their surroundings (when not moving).

    Download beta 1.8 (this is an old version and does not include the crategun)

    So What is the Crategun?
    The crategun works in a similar way to spider mines for now (it even uses the same model ). Except it fires err...crates. These crates can be controlled via alt fire, or lay dormant to attack an enemy when they come within a small radius. The crates also collide so you can use them to get to places otherwise impossible

    I'm after any suggestions you guys can come up with to improve this weapon. Even suggestions for other weapons/maps/ideas in general are also welcome

      This is an awesome mod on LAN and online, but maybe a Karma Crate toggle option would be fun to randomise the map more in-game. And you could even expand on that to create a mutator to change the Karma Crate properties. :noob:

          I heard about this mod aaages ago, but never downloaded it then. Will do right now!

          I do think the crategun would be a nice addition to the mod too, by the sound of it. :up:

            Sounds neat. If you made the Crates from the Crategun "hop" towards enemies, that would be so funny. Oh, and they'd have to be smaller, of course.

              They will hop and chase enemies within the same radius as spidermines. They also make the landing grunt sound and footsteps of people
              I've put development on hold as I have some real life issues to sort out.
              Working on bot support - but cant promise anything
