    Let's tweak the bots!

    Lets face (hehe, ctf) it. Bots could be much better.

    The good things about bots:

    They're having very good aim.

    Theyre better at dodging than fuzzlebunny.

    The bad things about Bots:

    They're easy to predict.

    They dont time powerups.

    And much more... But why not make a mutator where the bots truly are godlike, where they time powerups, hammerjump and using sneaky tactics? Like Superbots, but for UT2004.

            there are 3 lines :weird:

            to make bots REALLY godlike, you would need to rearrange the botpaths and everything, so they have multipple possibilities, so that's the mapper/coder's thing:weird:

              What I want the bots to do is bunny hop like they did in ut99 ... or at least move around a lot more when confronted with hitscan weapons.

              What we need is a Quake 2 eraser bot for ut2004. From what I've heard, that thing could learn a map within 5 minutes without bot navigational paths, and could trick jump around the map like a pro once it learnt the level.

                  I wish the bots aiming behavoir would be a lot like Quake 3 style.

                    Actually i thought something like that except the thing by waiting 5 minutes.

                      Well, my university is planning to make a 3rd year research project on the feasability of using real 'intelligent systems' and 'artificial intelligence' in FPS games, things like artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems, and genetic algorithms etc. If we work on that we may just get some godlike bots
