What about vehicle wrecks not disappearing?

You know when you destroy vehicles in Onslaught?

*Gets big evil eyes by the VCTF community*

    Ok ok in VCTF too

Then vehicle wrecks disappear first when you blow then in to pieces, it could only be destroyed by explosives so you can temporary stop infantry, or just make a cool effect on the battlefield.

    Opinions?

So you mean the wrecks don't disappear when they come, and after you pound them for a time they explode and disappear?

Exactly, and they can only be destroyed by explosive stuff like nades, rockets and so on...

Cool, that means you can place a bunch of tanks and hellbenders at a crucial point and then destroy them to block the way, all the while sniping with the hellbender. Cool, id definaly play.

It seems like a nice idea, until you think of the lag coming from having 20 or so vehicle carcasses.

theres should be a carcass limit then, like 9

A more interesting idea would be to build lower-poly models for the carcasses. When the model stops moving, the higher-poly mesh is dumbed down a bit, to a much simpler model. With similar texture work, thse transition wouldn't be very evident, especially with a fire or smoke emitter on it, or something.
