Guardians of the Galaxy was AWESOME... so yeah, I'm going to make my favorite character Rocket Raccoon into a UT2004 character. It fits so well!

Would anybody be interested in doing a voice pack?

This is just for fun, so no rush!

I haven't seen the movie, but I am a fan of some of the Marvel movies.
I'm sure you'll do a great job, what program do you use?

I'm using UModel to extract the Skaarj mesh because I'm gonna fit Rocket to that skeleton
The internets! to get the reference images of Rocket
Blender to do just about everything related to the model (minus rigging) and the example Skaarj model
GIMP to do all texture mixing, blending, and rebalancing... plus for designing Rocket's front and side view (orthographic)
3DS Max to apply Rocket to the Skaarj skeleton
UnrealED to put it in the game!
and notepad for the data file stuff

Wow... why haven't I heard of that game? XD

I'll release a reskin of him in that original costume for sure!

I'm worried this guy's head won't match the Skaarj skeleton XD... the rest of him should though!

Getting the mesh right with some occasional vertex painting just get some color going. Hopefully it looks like Rocket when it's done.

It's a cheat... I slapped the concept textures on to the front and back. Hehe. Just an update to show this is not dead. Just been busy.

...Hey...technically I could call this finished. I really want to put this in the game already.

Would it hurt to put it in the game and then touch up the texture later?

yes. It's a camera trick...those armor paddings, the feet, the fingers...they're all formless. Also...the UV map is temporary too.

You can make a proper second UV layout and bake those temporary textures to it. After that you will only need to refine the texture in gimp or whatever you use for texturing.
