    So how many still mod this game? Any good modders?

    Just wondering. :/

    I'm currently looking for an animator and/or texture myself, since I pretty much suck at doing either sadly.

    Its no longer the vibrant place we once knew long ago thats for sure....

    Check all of the releases in the Beta and Final section. I'd say about the only folks left modding this (absolutely fantastic) game and/or making levels are the 'good' modders.

    [Edit] That is to say, that those of us left (mappers/modders etc.) really like this game and have enough experience now to make some pretty cool stuff.

    What kind of animations and texture work are we talking about? Weapons? Vehicles? Player Models? And how large is the scope (one model, or dozens)?

      Sorry , I only know mapping ,but I do wanna know how to create my own mutators =(.
      But I just don't get it , wish I could.

        Oh, my friend wanted to know if he can find some good animator and/or texturer guy for his Reality Weapon add-on pack For Ballistic Weapons. Its ment to add a good number of RL guns.

        This is quite a daunting task that he wants IMO. But as long as we do it slow and steady, we should be fine. I already completed the codes of 3 weapons. The Dragunov, the Steyr AUG, and M60.
        Most of the models and sounds are to be provided by Game Banana with permission. (I LOVE THAT PLACE)

        Right now Im learning, or trying to learn how to animate, but its not going so good right now, I still have a LOOOOOOOONG ways to go b4 I can do any good animations, if any at all.


        Im using this Steyr AUG as a base on how to animate with blender. But again, so far.... not so good. D:

        Are there any other places that show signs of good Ut2004 mod activity? :O I must know!!!!!!!

          I've seen a video on youtube showing unreleased player models and voice packs before last year. I forgot what they were though..

              I try to import models and meshes into Ut2004 out of boredom every now and then(like that enclave armor I did before or that menace model)

              but yeah I suck **** in making maps; at most I made a CTF4 map 20000 X 20000 wide with a 128X128 width/height for a walkway and each base is loaded with 10 redeemers and super health packs lol

                Say....do you know how to do some good animations hmm? :P Just wondering... I lack animation skills as I focus more on coding

                It just shows to ya that not everyone is good at everything, IMO its better to master one thing if you can't master all.

                    I hear ya bro. I mess with scripts until I'm bored, then I just relax or play a round with my creations.

                        That must be a bunch of oil she has on her skin. One spark might have terrible consequences for her tan.

                        Btw, mappers are not different either... sometimes I like to just start a testmatch and play my map... for hours. ಠ_ಠ

                          yeah, the specular mask brightness on the skin was too much when I did it lol

                          but yeah that was one of my earlier attempts at importing stuff into UT2004...I was more focused on the importing stuff rather than making if look nice; hell it doesn't even look like menace

                          Here's a more recent try, I fixed that silly shininess, looked into some reference pics for Menace and found a model that looked like her, so I tried to import it:
