    DM-Mojo][ (?)

    Hi there.

I've seen a bunch of UT99 map remakes for UT2K4, some of which are very accurate and faithful to the original version; yet I haven't been able to find a UT2K4 version of the classic "DM-Mojo][".
I was wondering if anybody here knows if there's actually a remake/port of this map and where to get it.

    Thanks.

Not sure if that will be a good remake or not but you could try:
    http://uz2.ut-files.com/DM-Mojo-%5di%5b.ut2.uz2

To find it I went to the map stats page:
    http://ut2004stats.epicgames.com/index.php?stats=maps

    searched for Mojo
searched online for download sources (you can also try to grab it from a server that plays it).

If enough people want it, I could make it after I've finished CTF-High and released at least one final version of either Face or Crane or Overlord (would be better if I finish some maps before I start with new ones).
So is there a need for it?

      Here's my "to do-list" if you're interested:
      • AS-Overlord (adding details and fine-tuning, try to gain more performance and to make nice earthquake effects, then I'll release it -> beta)
      • CTF-Face (nearly finished, planned to make only 1-2 betas and then going final with it if no bugs will be found -> beta)
      • DM-Crane (this one will need a lot of fine-tuning and it will take a lot of time, just at the beginning -> early beta)
      • CTF-High (just started with it. Only the layout (partially, would be great if anybody could tell me if the scale is okay) and the skybox have been made until now -> alpha)
      • That's where Mojo][ would be in my list (if you want it).
      • AS-OceanFloor ? (still not sure if the community really wants it -> not made)
      • AS-HiSpeed ? (again not sure -> not made)
      • my Single Player Framework campaign (I make this just for fun. I'm not sure if I will make it public, actually it's something I made for friends -> alpha)

EDIT: I forgot a map: DM-Morbias]I[. It's a beta version. I tried to stay as close as possible to the original, but with a new style.
It's between Face and Crane on my list.

@lilalurl: Couldn't get the map to work and couldn't get the source files either. Thx anyway.

@Sly: That's a pretty cool list, and I really want to play a remake of DM-Mojo][ (so do my friends)

Just tried it and it worked. I guess you don't know about the uz2 compression (used by servers and redirect).

Anyway, here I made a temporary mirror, this time zip-compressed so that you can open the archive with your favourite archiver.

Try it and give your opinion. If it is not good enough, perhaps Sly can use it as a base for his remake to save him a bit of time.

Apparently, the author of the remake was a member of the TCP clan. I am in very good terms with these people, so I could probably get for Sly (or any other volunteer) the permission to edit this remake or at least a way to contact the author to ask him directly permission.

Nope, this one didn't work either.... It's kinda funny because I have my UT2K4 (Retail) patched to the latest version and can play any custom map/mutator without any problem at all.

Posting your ut2004.log could maybe help us.

Ocean Floor and HiSpeed? Do want, If I may say so myself.

But a Singleplayer framework Campaign? what do you mean? Something that lets you edit the Singleplayer tournament in UT2004 or a Unreal 1 SinglePLayer styled adventure?

Why not some sort of recreation of MonsterHunt from UT99?

It's a campaign with a story, like in Unreal, but it's for a mod. You can download it here (version 2 includes 2 tutorial maps which shows how it works). I've made a jungle map, a space ship (beginning) and a scary base (probably the ending) somewhere on a stormy mointain But there shall be more. I'm working on a Nali-style castle. (And I play U1 to get some more inspiration, this campaign will take me looooooong... that is a project I'll finish when I'm finished with these maps.)
