CTF-High?

Do you know that UT99 map CTF-High? Two skyscrapers facing each other, connected by a bridge and a big crane in the middle, with a theme like DM-Crane?
I don't want to make a map remake which nobody wants or needs, that's why I ask you:

Do you want a CTF-High remake?
If yes, vote on the poll for "Yes", if more than 5 people are interested in this map, I will remake it.

The poll is broken, it won't let me vote.
But I would like a remake of it. Jumping on the flag from the top of the skyscraper is just awesomeness (you deliver the flag first and only then die ), even for a twist like that it would be good to have it in UT2004.

yeaahhh!!! i want a Ctf-Hig remake!! this is one of my favorite capture the flag maps ever!! i always love the dark/urban theme of many of the classic ut99 maps. too bad this style is gone for ut2k4

Would be a cool remake, are you going to make it like the original or you plan to add more details 'n stuff?

Few more details but not too much. There were some 2D walls which were supposed to look 3D. Well, I thought about making these parts 3D with the help of static meshes.
But that would be the only change. Ripper would be included of course, like in my DM-Crane remake and my CTF-Face remake. I will use the old textures with better quality of course for the "classic feel". If you want to know how it would look like, check out my Crane remake. (The skybox will be changed to the "classic one" with old textures and background and of course with the old clouds)

Does anybody know where I can find classic sentinels like those from UT99 (a minigun-sentinel which looks like that one from 99 and which acts like it -where I can adjust the team number of course)? I would need it for more classic feel. Then I would replace the sentinel in my Overlord remake too.

Well, for those of you who are interested in this map:
I've just finished the "classic" skybox and made a texture pack for classic urban themed UT99 remake maps. I'll publish it when I'm done with the pack so that everybody can use these remade textures in his/her maps. If you want to see some screens of my current skybox, just say it and I'll post it.

Now I'm working on the basic layout of the two towers. I'll inform you about my progress of course.

Okay. I just finished the skybox (nothing's left there) and started with the towers.
I thought it would be a good idea to show you that progress and that you get an idea about how big the scale of the towers is like. I tried to make it ~1.25 times bigger than the original for 2k4's persons and movement.

That's the basic layout I made until now. (The skybox took me long)

What do you think of the scale? Everything okay? If yes I'll continue with it with this size. You can compare it with the screenshots in the first post I found on the web.

i love this Skybox!!! looks awesome!
The scale is ok for my taste, maybe the bridge is a bit narrow, but its only a opinion.

The bridge is a bit small, you're right, compared it to the original. Thanks to the advice. I'll change it and will finish the layout.

Cool, I'm glad you're working on this! CTF-High was one of my favorite CTF maps (along with Kozov, ExoticII, Tropic, and Fin). I look forward to trying it out.

One note: Please don't use the PNG-format for pictures. PNG uses lossless RLE-compression, which only works out if there are many repetitive pixels with exactly the same colour. You usually have that only in technical drawings or sketches. For pictures with a real random content should you always use the JPG-format on the web. They might have some loss in detail due to the compression but are much more suitable for the use on the internet because the filesize is much smaller.
With PNG it takes way too long to load the image, not even talking about the thread.
