    Spawning objects when character fries?

    I hope this is the right place to ask. 8D

    Okay, I have an idea I want to do, but I'm not sure how to go about it.

    See, I have a character. Notice the ring around his "neck".

    What I'd like to do is have a charred version of said ring spawn when Ren here fries - for example, killed via link gun altfire. In other words, every instance that involves this mesh being removed and replaced with a skeleton, I want a ring to spawn with it.


    I am... fairly certain that merely spawning a static mesh at death wouldn't be much of a problem. However, making it obey gravity instantly and possably ragdoll physics might, especially 'cause it would be spawning around said ragdoll.

    Can't the skeleton just have the ring?

      Yes, and the skeleton does use the rig, but that's not what I meant.

      What I wanted was to spawn the ring around said skeleton, essentially leaving a chunk of his "armor" looking like it didn't disintegrate with the rest of him.
