    HUGE vehicle idea

    Someone should code a massive tank or huge leviathanesque vehicle, so large that it would be seen from miles away, of course it would only be useful on massive open wide onslaught levels but thats the point

    It would be so big that in order to drive it you would have to enter it, walk through hallways and open doors just to get to the control station, of course this vehicle would have a HUGE gun on it, but not some crazy plasma ion ****, just a big *** tank gun, massive amounts of health, huge damage, slow, etc. a moving battlestation, able to contain 6-7 players.

    So you main basically a large, fancy, and moving BSP cut? It sounds like an interesting concept, but I'm not sure how well it would work if it could be seen from miles away. Considering it's massive size, it would be rather easy to just have an enemy hide behind an object and gradually trickle the health down; It's large size also may encumber it's use in stock maps, since it sounds like it'd take up a 500-lane highway. :bulb:

      well maybe not that big a bit smaller, like a 499 lane highway, lol. but maybe make it able to hold like the whole team, like 16 players. also have it like a moving base, and give it many side turrets, so people cant trikle it's health away. also give it healing stations, that'll slowly give a player 199 health and 150 sheild and give lots of ammo. also let the enemy come into it, but not be able to drive it, or use the healing station. the wepon could be a massive reedemer blast, but add about 50 high powered missles that fly out of the explosion and fly everywhere, and the missles should give out a small reedemer blast. Also the spawning time should be like 15 minutes, maybe? Thats all I could think of right now.

      EDIT: Maybe make it hold Manta's inside it and Raptor's on top.

      Also there should be a map made just for this, a huge map with lots of big open places, and forest to hide in.

        Yeah kinda like as-convoy you know those vehicles have no health but are just a base. Make a massive level were the base vehicle moves around a track. Make it like a huge armored train with vehicle bays turrets and wepon stash. Yeah a huge train based level and if you or anything gets in the way of the train bases KABOOM to the obsticle that would be cool. Have a switch system for the tracks that can cause both trains to end up on parrelel tracks. That would make both bases try to derail eachother to dust. That would be awsome for ons, assault, or VCTF hehehe that would be OFF THE HOOK. Now I know that would be a pain in the ***** to code but that would be cool. Just like a massive water level were your on something like a carrier and being able to right a course for the base. The level would rely on a system were the level is actually continous you know like those old cartoons were you see the same senory. Also have destroyers and pt boats to escort your base.



        Dang this is a lot of stuff.

            And that from the man who coded a Torlantower-sized 9-passenger vehicle...

            But seriously, wasn't there a piece of concept art by T-Shinzon for something like that? Might be interesting for UT2k7, with its streaming technology supported giant maps.

                    That piece of concept art (by T-Shinzon) was loosely based on the main vehicle in AS-Convoy.

                    I've often wondered myself if some of the vehicles in maps could be extracted... Hyperblast, Mothership, Convoy, January... would be fun to actually pilot them around.

                    Did I miss any?

                      Slight variation - how about ONS where instead of fixed bases, you have giant mobile vehicles *as* bases?

                          The less people you load, the less of a waste it is. Everyone's problem is that they don't care to use the Leviathan turrets, therefore the Leviathn gets killed a lot more easily.

                            A person standing next to the Leviathan using their AVRiL or Shock Rifle is twice as useful as someone using the plasma turrets...
