    Battle Stats Version 4 [Final]

    This version is considered final. All features are implemented and working. You can still report any bugs, but none are known at this time.

    Description: This mutator adds a detailed battle stats display for players. The statistics are personalized for the local player or for each client on the server. The display can be toggled on and off with the "BattleStats" command.

    I like this and it's really easy to read all the information. I also like the damage dealt/taken categories especially.

    One thing I did use the redeemer on a map 3 times, was some deck 17 remake. Didn't show as super weapon kill and I got a monster kill on one of those hits. Not sure what happened. The rest as I said I love.

            There's one mutator I wrote, QInstaGib where early versions destroyed compatibility with a lot, including this. Other than that, I think this should work or the conflict may be with another mutator or something. Online will update more slowly to not waste bandwidth on these stats. I'll test it a bit more online to see if I missed something.

            As far as the code- it's open source, sort of- but you have to have UT2004 since there are dependecies on it. It's not really clear how to open source retail game mods. I didn't write that license, but it works for me. I don't have issues if someone doesn't want to use that particular one, but it should be kept as open source and don't just recompile without renaming to something unique (unique enough that someone else won't use that name either).

            Beyond that, yeah, that's the whole idea- make the small changes for the things you wish was different, make it work with something it's not compatible with, whatever... Better even is use it for something else.

                Does running this mut, take your server off the standard listing?

                Upped it on ours, and it dissapered off the standard server list.

                  I can't really do anything that will make it standard that I know of. That's defined by the master server/server browser and some kind of list of what is standard or not.

                    Since it has no effect on the gameplay you can ask them to add Battle Stats to the server whitelist.

                      Okay I really like this mutator but theres a slight problem.

                      It is not compatible with TeamDamage v1.08

                      whenever the two are running at the same time, Team Damage stops working. But the battle stats still do.

                        I think the problem with that mutator is in part of a function called NetDamage... It defers to any other game rules before running itself. If there are any other game rules, it never runs. Anyways, that's my guess. You could try that mutator with Vampire or Species and see if the same thing happens. If it does, tell the author and he may be able to fix it for you.

                            An idea for Battle Stats, usually it's a little inconvenient to use this during a game or like me I want to see it a little too late and I forgot to take a look. Is it possible to make this a server side service/log also? Battle Stats starts when a map starts and shuts down possibly saving the games stats to a file for later viewing or to pull into a web page for viewing. This would be an excellent tool that I and others could use on a web page for details on player stats 8).

                              I'm not sure about invasion, but I'm sure there's much better out there for web stats. Really this was for the opposite, so you could see it in game, then go to the web sites to get stats later.

                              Search for OLStats. I don't run servers or anything, but it looks really good.
