    Description:
    Since the successfull terraforming of Mars at least the athmosphere became breathable, though this changed very little about the generally unhealthy working conditions in the countless uranium mining pits surrounding the old Archangel colony. Try out the brandnew 'Lynx' missile buggy down here!

    My entry to the 2004 UnrealPlayground - VehicleCaptureTheFlag Contest. Bots won't put up a challenging fight in a 3on3, but with more bots you might actually get some troubles. For additional fun I suggest you download Kangus' brilliant "BarrelRun" mutator, this will randomly add explosive barrels to the map and fits the theme quite nicely.

      Nice little map you've made ... perfect for VCTF ... nothing overly complicated and this is the desert so there ain't much to look at except your enemies dead bodies.

      I especially liked the inclusion of the custome vehicle the Lynx ... man that is what the scorp should have been imhp (well spamming might be an issue in larger fights ... but I really don't know) ... this helped fend off the GT for a bit longer than normal! :up:

                  Thanks for the feedback and free promotion.

                  The screenshots are from the beta and a little outdated by the way. No major changes really, but the color differences between terrain and staticmeshes for example have been fixed.

                    Looks alright, plays alright, although I'm not sure I like the "tiny field with two Goliaths" setup.

                    The Lynx is not particularly more useful than the Scorpion (or did you change the way it handles?), and could have had a faster fire rate. It has two huge launchers, after all.

                      I disagree on both points, to be honest.

                      The map does look a bit plain, but seeing as it's a desert it can get away with that. I think the map plays great, and having the goliaths in the middle makes for some tense situations when bringing the enemy flag back to your base.

                      I think the Lynx is also great, it definitely would have been a good alternative vehicle to the scorpion in Onslaught (people would probably have used it more often). If the firing rate on the lynx was any faster it would be overpowered, especially since now it has a good strong advantage over infantry (which it didn't really have before when the primary fire was the bondolas, you had to get very close in order to use the blades).

                          I’m not really into this gametype, but I’m sure there are better maps than this one. I like the fact that it is fast-paced, has weather effects, good skybox and the addition of the “Lynx” missile. It may be in the desert, but it needs more stuff to duck behind and look at. The bots could be better, but I like the Goliaths in the middle.
