Thanks buffy for recommending this as it's a really good map, Zouave. The intro was top notch and the Japanese voice over a nice touch. Also the whole theme to the map was just soo refreshing and no fps issues
Only 1 minor quibble (for an update)... In the centre of the map where one goes through a watery lane and then jumps up to a higher level, well I was pretty much trying to get up there for 5-10mins although the bots managed ok. Don't even ask how I managed as I'm no stranger to double-jumping or anything but it was a pain.

Has there been an update to this map? [ I downloaded 2 days ago ( 8 Sept) ]. - The reason I ask is that I couldn't play this map with Bots only because they got stuck and I was trying to attack on my own. I eventually found them at the back of the boat and they just wouldn't move. See screenies.
Another small but weird thing I noticed was the water-line at the rear of the boat. It runs downhill toward the rear. Not a biggy but weird visuals when you are in the water.
Other than that, it's a beautiful map and I had a pleasure exploring it in spectator mode.
The bots knew their assault was hopeless, so decided to stay on board. Unfortunately, they couldn't figure out how to get the boat turned around in order to sail away.

The worked alright for me. Maybe you aren't paying them enough?
Seriously, it might be that you've got too many bots on the map and they get screwed up. I always go with the map defaults, which I'm pretty sure was less than 8 people per team.
I've played the map four times now and they were fine 3/4 times (keep reading). Then I just played it and I noticed a bot going back to the boat and one started to follow so I told them to "cover me" then I proceeded to the next part and then after we got through as a team and then I issued the search and destroy command and they were fine from that point on.
Now as for when i was defending ... I did have to go start some trouble once when that happened to get them back into attacking my team ... my team followed me to them and we fought and as I had my team pull back the blue team got moving.
But I would say this map is perfect for bot play at least 90% of the time ... which is where even the retail maps fall. I've had to restart many a AS match b/c of a confused bot. peace ... hope this helps.
I know that you, like me, are a 100% off-line player, so if you are happy with the ratio of tolerance with the odd Bot glitch, then I will persevere. I'll try giving commands as you described and see if that is of help. - Thank you.

Well I am about to play it again myself. Let's see what happens ... nothing is ever the same you know
All I can say is the bots did a great job on both sides for me yet again ... maybe it is because I make monthly sacrifices to the God of Bot AI ... :haha: No but seriously everything worked great again for me ... with the bots picking up my slack whenever I got killed ... I was playing on Masterful ... defenders attacked well .. and they did score (once I threw them an extra guy! Against me and my team of Elite bots ... Kitty, hitman, Master Chief, Liandra Angel, Harper, and that's just my first team ... they couldn't stand a chance heh heh). Hope the commands option works for you if you still have bot issues. Heck, sometimes the commercial ones screw up more often than that. Ever play Junkyard when the bots get screwed up at the last checkpoint? Time after time, they just take the Hellbender and drive into the side of the checkpoint with it.
I still haven't had any trouble with them, though now that you mention it it does seem like there are only 2-3 people coming at the gates at times... didn't have time to check the boat, though. While I was going over my bot teammates had a collective aneurism and let an enemy finish off the last chain.
This map looks really good, as opposed to what I'd imagined from the screenshots. Though the exterior of the buildings is rather simple, the interior is good, and the plant life really makes the level.
The layout is good, and the environment is engrossing. I have one major gripe with this level, and that's the sniper rifles. If anything, the attackers should have them and not the defenders, because the attackers won't want to bother wasting time to snipe. If you give them to defenders only it's holy hell trying to complete objectives, especially ones in which the attackers have to run through large open spaces. The first few objectives will take forever because the defenders can sit far of fin the fog with the rifles and just clip you as you come out of the rocky pass.
Besides that, the map looks good, plays fairly well, and has a good layout and timelimit. The bot AI is not bad, but for some reason my team would not attack without me. It may have been that I had just messed with their settings, but upon ordering them to attack they all clustered around me. The way UT AI works, this means that we go racing in to the enemy base all gung ho, then I die, and all my bots turn around and run back to my respawn, making the level nigh on impossible.
