This is a very nice map ... well done! I thought from your description it was going to be easy but it took me a while to figure out how to get around! What a blast and it looks really nice as well. Didn't run into any problems ... screenshots are below. Peace and thanks for the content
          .

The ultimate sacrifice I could make for my team. **** I hate dying ... over and over and over again.

But in the end my sacrifice is rewarded.

              Very interesting map!

I like the way it's different from other ONS maps by alternating outdoor and indoor areas. Looks good and provides for some varied gameplay by hedging in the various vehicles. Except for the Raptors, but they can't reach inside. (or actually they can; I got a double Road Rage when I flew one into the corner building )

The bots seem to have some trouble with the concept. They'll rush for the opposite corner without problems, but from there on things come to a stop. They don't use the Raptors, which are the only way to capture the last node. Of course they hardly use the 'benders either, but that seems to be a common trait shared by all ONS maps.

Except for the 'deemers, of course. Two 'deemers seems a bit steep for a small map, although the node setup prevents multiple nodes becoming disconnected this way. Since the bots don't use the Raptors, they don't grab any 'deemers either.

The defending bots, on the other hand, will send two AVRiLs up at the first sign of my Raptor. When I 'deemered their node and claimed it for my own, they overwhelmed me (since I had no backup) and rebuilt their node in seconds. Needless to say, I never made it to the core and could only win by overtime core drain.

You are correct when you say that the vehicle/bot code Could use some work ... the bots seem to have a hard time deciding if they should use vehicles or not ... they jumped in and out a couple of times and then usually decided to hike it or the Skaarj would use the weapons in the vehicle but not the actual vehicle as much ... again this could due to the size and layout of the map. Many times it may not have really benefited the Skaarj if they would have used the vehicles (but they could have tried to run me over more).

Raptor use was sparse but for a map this size maybe the bots know they don't need to worry about using those as much. Both sides did use the raptor (although my team seemed to use it more) and I have some screenies below ... but some tweaking wouldn't hurt. It seemed that most of the time to get my bots to get in (and stay in) either the HellBender or the Goliath I had to use the "Cover me" command. But again maybe this is due to the tight size and node layout of the map (and where the other team is at the time I decide to use either of these two vehicles). Still my bots were pretty good about protecting me and storming the node points. Still a great fun super-intense map!

Wait ... is that my guy in that raptor? Hell yeah!!!

Why is my own empty tank firing on me? Ahh, it must be a Ghost In The Machine. (seriously though has anyone else run into this problem?)

Aww Hell! I thought you Skaarj couldn't fly Raptors ... now I'm in for it.
                [SCREENSHOT]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/AnubanUT2/outback/ONSOBrap3.jpg[/SCREENSHOT]

It's getting closer ... or is it?
                [SCREENSHOT]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/AnubanUT2/outback/ONSOBrap6.jpg[/SCREENSHOT]

Arrrgggghhhh!!! Is that an angel I see in the light or is it ....
                [SCREENSHOT]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/AnubanUT2/outback/ONSOBrap2.jpg[/SCREENSHOT]

****! Dead yet again ... did anyone get the name of that Raptor that did this? There's gonna be hell to pay ... once I respawn ...

just wish bots didnt sucks so much in ONS now, not in the map but in the whole ONS gametype actually bots build nodes very slow after patches i think :sour:

I'm glad you guys are liking the map.
The bot problem is something that I messed with for a while. They do use the raptors, but since there's only Raptors at the first node, they rarely backtrack to use them. That's more of a strategic thing that requires a little brain-power (something that the bots just don't have). Like he said, you almost need the Raptor to take that last node.

Needless to say, I think the map is 100x better with human enemies since I design most maps with some sort of concept that a bot can't grasp (like choosing with vehicle you want to use and then teleporting to the node that carries it).

I appreciate all the kind words! Feel free to e-mail me anytime.

Wicked map, donwloaded just before and played a few rounds with it. However I really need to pratcie on this one, I couldnt seem to beat the opposition. In the end all the matches I played had me winning because of core drain in overtime.

It seemed to me that everytime I managed to destroy the last node right by the enemy powercore they respawned in the 2 rooms just to the left of the node and before I had a chance to build the node completely and have it guarded the enemy had respawned and destroyed it and me

But nevermind, will keep playing till I win it properly lol.

Thanks for RARing it, it'll take me 10 minutes les to download.

I played this map online today, and oh man - most fun I've had in a while on ons. I think it was 14 players or more, but I had lots of fun with it. I think we played for about an hr or so.

But the map is just cool! nice statics!
