      What, if I may ask, is that reason? You make me kind of curious...also, I wouldn't ask for a reworked version if I didn't think there's a whole lot of potential to unlock with relatively small changes. Your map is the first such map I've come across, as there are so preciously few...

      I've not done much mapping before, and I unfortunately don't have the time to invest to learn enough mapping to make a map nearly as good as this one would become with bigger or at least shorter spawn tunnels. :cry:

        I'm glad that you like this map. Just letting you know man, anybody can make a map like this with some work and some patience! This was actually the first map I ever made! I encourage all those people who think maping is to hard try it out! That goes for you to nighteye. If you do want to get started maping, you have to start somehow.

        So you want the long answer eh? As far as the tunnels go, we tryed various different was to get a player into the arena, but we needed a way to spawn them without spawing them in front of a dangerous mover. We used the tunnels as a way to allow players to view your surroundings a little and give a little time after scoring a frag so you don't get shot in the back by an enemy you just killed. We tryed varous sizes and lengles for the tunnels. The one we used in the final version was the best ballance for a deathmatch style gameplay. They are just long enough to give a good time to re-entering the arena and we have small tunnels to discourage players from fighting in the tunnels and keep the fighting in the coliseum it'self and to make them darker to help control spawn camping.

        So that is the long answer! I hope it gives you a better justifacation. I am sorry it doesn't work for invasion as well as it does for deathmatch.

          Ok, thanks for explaining. I won't press the matter further, although I still think it's a pity there's no invasion version of this map. Maybe I'll get the time to learn a bit of mapping one day...

                      like the custom music and theme (obviously it looks good) and it’s a novel idea (changing arena), but that’s about it; yes, the bots do suck. In all though, the map is still lots of fun even offline!
