    ONS-Resilience

    Name: ONS-Resilience
    Version: 1.00
Compatibility: UT2004 (should work with all patches).
Description: Medium sized onslaught arena set in a snowy canyon environment, ideally suited for teams of 5 v 5 or 6 v 6.
Comments: The map has bot support, but they tend to be a little unpredictable at times - they seem to use all of the vehicles Ok, and I haven't noticed them getting stuck anywhere around the map. Their main problem is that they are too slow to capture the first powernode linking to their power core, so they can get overrun quite quickly (although sometimes they can put up a decent fight to protect their core). The map comes with 3 different power node link layouts, but I know most people tend to frown upon the '2 nodes linking to a power-core' setup, so the Resilience setup probably wouldn't be very popular. There are somemore screenshots on the webpage listed below.

The theme isn't very original, but the map is really good.
I like all three node setups, though I prefer "resilience" and "crossing paths" over the default one.
      Balance seems fine too.
      Well done!

Edit: you shoul mirror it on Nalicity and Unrealplaygorund at least

Looks interesting... I’ll let you know what I think as soon as I get it (hopefully in an hour or so).

I would suggest adding a couple more nodes, like one on either side of the middle, to allow for a little more variety in node setups. The non-"originality" of the theme doesn't bother me at all.

            Nice map. Too bare though.

Yes, the winter theme has now been done to death, but this is still a nice map that's worth playing on.

                • Good atmospheric winter theme.
                • Despite the winter theme, you bothered to add some vegetation. Makes the map that much more interesting and lifelike.
                • Cool structures for the base and nodes.
                • A setup with two nodes connecting to the core.
                *
                • FPS is practically half that of Arctic Stronghold, for no reason I can discern.
                • Several areas are a bit too devoid of anything. I suppose this could be considered "atmospheric", but it only adds more time spent travelling instead of fragging.
                • Setups with one node connecting to the core. Whoever thinks this is the way to go should play Arctic Stronghold a couple dozen more times on servers with good players.
                • No setup that connects the corners. Those minigun turrets serve no real purpose now.
                * I find it hard to criticise a good piece of work, but feedback is feedback.
