    CTF-SpaceCTF aka. Q3CTF4

    Space CTF, aka. Q3CTF4, is a fast-paced CTF map composed of a few platforms floating in space. It may be wide open, but the only hit-scan weapon available is the Lightning Gun. Even if the enemy put up a big tent on the sniper platform, your team can still try to brute-force your way to the flag due to the availability of heavy weaponry.

    This is the first map I release that was built from scratch. Only the skybox is copied from CTF-FaceClassic with rotation turned off. (I previously converted JB-Aswan and JB-Suspense for JB2004 and UT3JB, respectively.)
    The gameplay on this one is quite different than on most other CTF maps. That's caused not only by the many jumppads and a good chance to fall to your death, but also due to the fact that you spawn with the Flak Cannon as additional starting weapon. Also, the pickup rules have been modified to match those in Q3A: Instead of weapon stay the weapons respawn after 5 seconds. Picking up a weapon fills your ammo to the default value or adds one ammo if you already have at least the default amount. Other respawn times have been modified as well. Shields respawn after 25 seconds, health (including the big keg) after 35 seconds.

    You won't find any ammo on this map. Weapons available are the Flak Cannon on spawn, Rocket Launchers in the middle, Lightning Guns on platforms above the flags and the BFRL10k high above the map. The BFRL10k is a remake of the Q3A BFG10k as rocket launcher. It fires fast rockets at a high fire rate, so it can clear out opponents quite easily.

    Looks cool for a Quake remake for UT2004, judging from screenshots. I'll check it out later.

      good remake

      Not sure where I got this back in April 2012, but I tried it back then and I guess I never posted the comments so here they are:

      nice upgraded UT2004 graphics but I think asteroids should be moving, interesting jump gates; tough bots although I think mine could defend slightly better; be prepared to fall. I like all the changes to this map also.

        Fun remake. Gameplay is sweet and I like the lighting. Somehow the weapon/item respawns are quite quickly interesting and I love the custom weapon remake of Q3 (BFRL10k), but where's the Flak Cannon? Interesting jump pads and jump gates stumbled upon. Falling players/bots over the edge was suicide (no need to frag). Bots are tough and defend, also my teammates do.

        BTW: Can you release a custom weapon BFRL10k on your site? That would be great.

          There is no Flak Cannon pickup, you only get it when you spawn.

            Wow, I had no idea the Worm became a mapper as well.

            Does it have a RockingSkyZoneInfo to make me sick?

              I mainly did conversions before this one. My first real from-scratch map actually was a UT3JB map with a single switch. It was more of a feature test map, though, and will never be released outside the JB CoreDev forums. Red fog-of-death, KotH-like gameplay, Titan arena, placeable slow field and other stuff you may or may not see in UT3JB releases.
