    That time my intention was do a map that no camp is basically allowed, and i think this is a perfect one for this, because if you try camp at your base, you die, because has no health and pickups at the bases, just weapons and ammo, if you want to survive you must go into the forest look for goodies, and here you must have the atention a lot of times higher too, know why?Because you are in the jungle baby, you are gona DIE if dont do that.Enjoys =

    This is the final version, and im thinking about release another map like this one but as an Onslaught one, that will be almost the same, but plenty times bigger, and with really different places, so, who comments to this one will be very useful to my next one.

      Usually you don't get that many comments on a Full Release than in a Beta release

      The only thing I have to say is that the trees in the third screenshot are really dark.

        Pretty awesome map. It's a little dark, but you can still see clearly. Also there are plenty of lights, especially next to the paths, so you can see where you go.

        When playing this map my FPS went down to an average of 9, but that's mainly because my PC is poo-poo.

            If you set the world detail to low, the grass and the rain will be deactivated, making the map a lot more lighter, like my PC, with all details medium it runs about 25-30 fps, with it low it goes to 65-75 fps.

              In fact, you put too much trees in your map.
              The halos are nice, but they down your fps. Try to reduice the distance view of the corona. The rain is nice, but bad for the fps.

              About the game play, the trees block the manta run and drive it became very hard. Not very interesting.
              Moreother, I crossed the map through the trees. I was not very interresting. I saw nothing only some trees.

              In fact, you should remove most of the trees.
              If you want keep your trees, put a value for the culldistance.
              sometimes, the fog is not enough.

              The rock under the flag is very annoying. I waas block several time.
              Remove the collision of your rock or add another blocking volume to improve the acces at the flag.

              Your map is a little dark. I like that. But not every one.
              You should increase the overall light (eg with a moon).
              Better for the game play.

              You can remove the half of your Roadpathnode and add a assaultpath.

              If you wanna improve the game play, try to reduice the size of your map. The distance betwen the both flag is too far (even if for the RPG VCTF)

              The position of the avril is very strange (betwen the teleporter at the middle of the map). In fact, i don't like very much the kind to use and put the weapon. I prefere the weaponlocker. More over, i don't see the LG and the shock like armo in the middle of the map. Annoying.

              The both teleporters near the flag is strange at the first time. But, they become a good thing to escape. Maybe, you should remove a few the both teleporter of the flag. Because, with a simple dodge, i was teleported without taking the flag.

              One question, is it your first map in VCTF ?

              Your work is not bad. But, that need a little more work.

                No, i dont made any of them, just made the bridge and the cross, the rest is all from the Epic Games 's packages.

                Fistly, if you want VCTF you should setup your map.

                I know, thats what i made, it show up at menus, show screenshots, description, data, best player ammount, just select it and play.

                The recommended ammount of players here is 8-16 players(4 to 8 for each team)Are you waiting for what?A Bad graphics map with good player support?And you can make your FPS a lot higher changing the world detail from HIGH/NORMAL to LOW, it will remove the rain and some folliage, making it a lot lighter.

                I made the dirt paths here to you know where to go, and made bots walk just through them to make them be as example for who play it, to dont try walk to the trees and get stuck(reallistic view is always good ).

                Like i said to 100GPing100 just look at the name of the map: VCTF-LIP-DarkShade Canyon.It should be good at ilumination with this name?

                I did it when i was testing it beta version(it was not released), and the bots are a lot better with more roadpathnodes than larger distances between assault paths.When more paths, more enhanced bots get at some kind of maps, not all maps, but maps like this one yes.

                Are you nuts?The map is already too small for 8-16 players(or 20 for each team like you played), who is the crazy one that will like a place where you cant even know who is on your team and who is not?Its no fun, i made it to be exactaly 8-16 players, just add all of the possible vehicles and you may see: 2 miniguns(2 players)+2 scorpions(2 players)+1 manta(1 player)+1 Hellbender(3 players)=2+2+1+3=8 for each team=16 people at max.

                Weapon lockers are possible to add more ammo when it spawns, but not possible to get more ammo if you already have the weapon, this sucks, its a lot better add weapon bases+ ammo pickups to them, see the default UT2004 CTF maps, do they have Weapon lockers i guess?

                'When more fast you become you also less perfect you become', try take more care when taking the flags, and the teleporters i made them to they have acess to the 2 minigun turrets, its a lot easier than do only one teleporter to have acess to a minigun turret and need to jump down to get the other turret.

                One question, is it your first map in VCTF ?
                Man, i have more than 2 years of UT2004 mapping experience, i even lost my count of how many VCTF maps i already did.Just check Map-Factory Website and Search for LIP-Rampage, i have all my maps since 2010 there, even beta testings, i know mapping at UT2004 since 2008, but just at 2010 i started to release my maps.

                Your work is not bad. But, that need a little more work.
                No ofense but What The F***???I did a hard work there!Is some of the maps i more worked hard with simetrical details, tried to do all the same from X to -X axis, needed a hard work with this one, since brushing until doing it pickup placement!

                    I love feedback and comments, no ofense man, but these comments you putted here will not fit to the map, because you want to i remove the trees, and reduce detail levels, when the map is a forest in a canyon, and all the things you want to remove are basically the main feature of the map, and you want to reduce it size when i think its already too small for a VCTF map.No ofense, but your comments just said to remove things that was too much useful.

                      Some comments have been made about the map being too dark. Just from looking at the screen I can see there is some truth to these comments.

                      Before I begin just let me say I usually don't waste my time posting feedback unless I think someone wants to get better. I'm gonna say some things here to attempt to help you out, and please consider them as constructive criticism.

                      Okay, let's pretend I'm the average UT player looking at any map download site. Many times they pick what they will download based on screenshots. If they have a great screenshot,then they'll usually download the level. (This is crucial in various ways...your map needs to be capable of some good screen cap areas, AND you need to take good screenshots....two different things)

                      Now, having said that, the map is clearly too dark my man. What you likely need to do is add some sunlight. You may find this actor a little difficult ot deal with at first. (many times one is not enough) You do NOT want one doing all of the "natural lighting" work. Usually you need a MAXIMUM of four. Look at some of the Epic terrain based maps for some help. DM-DE_Orisris2 uses sunlights fairly well. Some of them may have color applied to them that may not work for your level, but the light values will. So you may be able to copy a sunlight from an existing map and use it in yours. You may have to change a few things though to make it suit your map. BE SURE TO WRITE DOWN values of the sunlight actors if you like the values but need to change light color. These values will change when you change the color to suit your map, and you may want to revert them to their original state. You may have to tweak from there, you may not.

                      I use a sunlight actor in ALMOST all of my maps...indoors or outdoors. They add more realistic shadows and so on to your level. Almost every map in UCBP has one (or more). DM-UCBP-Praxis uses one in a strage way. It has a VERY low light brightness and so on. It is merely there to provide realistic shadows, and the smallest hint of light. Sunlight in a terrain map should provied ample lighting for all of your outdoor areas. You are welcome to use any of those if you like (UCBP), and copy them into your map and adjust for your needs.

                      You cannot say things like "lower detail settings and it's brighter." Most people are not going to do that, and even if they would, they just find this statement a little eroneus. It hints that your map is not worth playing. It should work well with defualt settings.

                      Also, IDK if it's because you chose a black sky or what, but if you did.....NO. Steal a sky from another map that you like the looks of the sky in. (that will match your level)...BR-Collosus comes to my mind

                        Well, i think i will need to say this to everyone at this way or delete this post because its giving me too much trouble.The map is called VCTF-LIP-DarkShadeCanyon, like the own name says, its dark !Dont you guys see that?

                        I know i can add sunlights, this is not my first map, i have 4 years of mapping experience at UT2004, what you wait for?I dont know how put a sunlight in 4 years?lol this is almost impossible

                        I say the things about lower details settings to it be lighter(map more smooth at playing) to who dont have a top PC, like my PC runned it at all high detail with about 7-14 fps when all at low detail runned it at more than 75 fps!

                        About use UCBP textures, no, thanks, i like the own epic textures or the ones made by myself, rarely i use textures that are not mine or from epic.I dont like it, if i use, i get the authorization of the author.

                        And...About take a sky from another map i never do this, all my skyboxes are totally originals and made by me, with the exception of when i download custom skyboxes like from INIQUITOUS and put them at my level, but i put his name as one of the Authors too from the level, i think make 6 sky box textures can align them all to make perfect skyboxes like he do is a lot harder than mapping, so, when i use a custom skybox it author deserves be on the map's authors list.

                          Seemed pretty odd that the map started in Chaos CTF, which tbh, is a game mode I had never noticed before.

                          Anyway, you've gotten a lot of feedback in this thread saying that people would prefer this map if it were a *little* less dark. I happen to agree. The coronas in the distance and the black fog are kind of distracting. Otherwise the map looks pretty good.

                          You don't need to get defensive about this feedback. You're getting constructive criticism. Even if you've been mapping for 12 years, it doesn't matter. People are still going to have opinions about your map.

                          This is very true. Generally people are just going to avoid or delete a problematic map instead of changing setting just to play it.

                            i mean upload at internet with upload on a website or a thing like this, like i dont want to see this map at filefront someday with the author's name changed to another guy, i would hate that.
                            But about the map is dark, i know its really dark, but that was my intention, create a dark one

                              I was not offering to let you use textures man. I was saying you can copy a sunlight actor. You should not be so defensive man. we are trying to help you out. I understand that your map is supposed to be a "night time" map, or maybe on a dark planet. Having said that, it still needs something to give it more visual appeal.

                              You know I went through the same thing when I was a not so experinced mapper, and I am sure EVERYONE here has felt waht you are right now. It's tough to work hard on something and then feel like people are knocking your work. That is NOT what we are trying to do here. Quite the opposite! You seem very passionate about this, and like someone who could end up making some REALLY nice levels. Experince in years is not the important thing to look at. It's how many maps you have produced, and how well you know how to exploit the system. It's clear you have some skill, but that you also can learn a few things, or IMPROVE upon the execution of those skills. THIS GOES FOR EVERYONE. It applies to me, JeFe, and everyone who makes levels. You can ALWAYS improve.

                              Now on to the main ideas here. Maybe you do have a sunlight in place, but it seems like you need at least one more. Also looks like you need a skyZone change.

                              If you like I will download your map and spend about an hour on it, and see what I can improve for you, but I will no do this without your permission or blessing on the matter.

                              Please take all of these points into consideratio, and maybe even re-read some posts so that your initial reaction is not the clouding your thoughts.

                              Take care, and we hope you keep mapping, and DO WELL at it. It keeps this game alive. Just remember that...we're a community here.

                              I understandd, but you don't want a map that is so dark that nobody can see. That's just not good for gameplay. I've had simialr ideas in the past myself, but they usually end up as something that people do not want to play. I think you can still make a "dark/night" map and be able to see well.

                              Your artistic vision of what you want and what can be done may not always line up in the game. Sometimes you have to sacrifice that somewhat. Just try this, and see how it goes....Mess around trying some differnt skys in your map from other "night/dark" maps in UT2004. I've seen maps that were HORRIBLE visually become VASTLY improved visually with a simple change to the skybox. JUST TRY IT....I think you'll see what I mean, and uunderstand better. We have been trying to tell Turbo K similar things, and he seems quite offended as well,. Just remember...WE ARE TRYING TO HELP YOUR MAP GET DOWNLOADS/PLAYERS/ AND FANS ! We want you to be able to hang your hat on the level and be PROUD of it for YEARS to come.
