    ONS-theVine Final

    Name: ONS-theVine
    Version: Final
    Compatibility: UT2004 with ECE
    Description:
A withered-down "vine" structure remains in a grove after innumerable years. The body of water running through the map splits it in half and leaves three ways across: two outside paths or the chokepoint in the middle. Control of the center node gives the team a Paladin to add to their arsenal. Each team is spawned a SPMA at their isolated node. Three node layouts have been supplied. The default features a "figure-eight" type layout with one isolated node per team. The second layout takes advantage of most paths between nodes, and the third gives each team two isolated nodes.

Sweet. I want to thank everyone who contributed to the beta thread, this definately wouldn't happen without them. A few notes I should point out.
    • The frames have little to be desired. It might be my video card (radeon9600XT ) but I get 30fps with no bots, and maybe 20 at the lowest with 23 bots. I hope it's just my video card, I haven't heard any complaints about the frames from others.
    • I will be making a 32 player version as well. I posted it on the Titan forums, and they seemed interested in it. The problem was that they play 32p onslaught with lots of vehicles, weapons, and things to choose from and that's what this version of the map is not. I decided to make two versions since I know there will be people playing either version.

Downloaded, hope I get some time to spend with this.
Lets give this map some love people. The betas were definitely, well, very well done. Nice theme, good example of a map with a look and feel, as well as some unique game play decisions (low ammo, specific weapons, etc) so every shot needed to count.
