    Thanks.
I'll create an ONS version of Arctika since that is a popular request.
The main bases will be redesigned so that the Core can be placed there -- an open roof and a large open base area with multiple entrances.
I'll see if I can get it completed within the next couple of weeks.

Looks like a great map. I'm sick of all the same VCTF maps that everyone plays... This will be a nice addition to my clan's server.
    Keep up the good work!

    Thanks Doc Shock.
I am currently working on a few DM maps and a CTF. After that will be a couple more ONS. I don't think I'll get them all done before UT2007 though, so some will be bumped up to that when it ships.

I looked at the method Ibex uses about a year ago.
I have been working on my terrain technique for about three years, which currently uses multiple software applications plus one custom program that I wrote.
I'm currently working on a new version that is more powerful and combines the features of all into one.
I feel that my method produces a more visually realistic and detailed terrain since it supports multiple blended texture layers.

    Thanks [TI]Al.

They are already very impressive imo, but if you're looking for something different you might want to have a look at Silver_Ibex's terragen maps tutorial: http://www.silveribex.com/

Arctika is my latest map at the time of this post.

    Very nice map!

I must say I was so impressed with the visual impact of the map I researched your past maps and also added FalloutIsland to our server.

Keep up the fine work DG.

    Thanks p2.

Hopefully my maps taste better than McD's burgers.

Actually, SandStone was three months of full-time work, and Arctika was five weeks full-time... by full-time I mean 8 to 12 hours per day and 6 days a week on average. So "rolling them out" is a lot of work...

I do my community maps in between my freelance pro mapping contracts.

All of my UT99 maps were DMs.

When UT200x shipped, I didn't like the online DM because most servers have the player counts too high so they are nothing but frag-fests, so I moved into ONS and really liked it (especially with VoIP). That's why many of my UT200x maps have an ONS design style.

To increase my UT200x map portfolio design range, I have four DM game type maps under development, which vary from full outdoor with buildings and terrain, to full indoor.
I also have two more ONS under development, for those who like my ONS style.

I'm going to try to get all of them done before UT2007 ships...
