    Description: This is a complete overhaul of an earlier map of mine. The visuals as well as the base designs have been completely redone. Many new flag running routes are possible. Best for 3v3 or 4v4. There are a lot of powerups in the map, but the map is balanced.

    First version was a blast. Great fast-paced CTF action. None of that running with the flag for five minutes before getting overtaken and shot by translocating enemies. I trust this one is the same and better.

          This is a nice map, no doubt. Good gameplay for a small amount of players given it's fairly compact. Some things about the layout of the original I prefer but you've got the look (ala lighting, etc.) pretty much perfect. Sometimes it's nice to see an Egyptian themed map too which we don't see to much of these days.

          Only quibble would be having the jump pad right in front of the flag - It's a bit off putting. A little to either side, I feel, would have been better but maybe other ppl will like it as it is.

          All in all though a good job and I'll enjoy playing this a while. Music's great too :up:

            This really is a fun map to play and offers some quick intense battles (Like Concentrate minus the Flak spam). The changes have just made things a little more challenging for the Flag Carrier (a good thing imo).

            Most fun at 2v2 or 3v3. :up:

              nice playing for fast-in-you-face action.
              the up and over kicker makes it most interesting.(no 1 person can stop the EFC)
              was that little round side room supposed to be a lift? that would be a nice place to try to get away, or help cover/defend.

                True dat. For a 3v3 this one ought to get everybody grinning, the pacing here is outstanding, there's just enough cover, it's wild and wooly.

                The jumppad at the bottom of the ramp, though... I just want to take a second to whine and pule like a spoiled baby about that. It drives me INSANE when I'm trying to cap!!!! Would make for awesome comedy at a small LAN, but still... :cry:. Putting it off- center even just a little would make it a lot more user- friendly.

                Ah well. If I actually had 5 buddies here in town who played UT2k4, I'd love to drag them over some night and set up with this one and CTF-Catatonic. Sprinkle liberally with good beer and it's fun times ahead...

                      not bad raf, not bad:up: . Some areas like the last screen have to much white in them, however beats the norm flame torches. I'm also not keen on that back wall in the 1st shot, just looks stripey.

                          revised CTF-RB-Arid; small, darker Egyptian-themed map with custom music, good fast and furious gameplay, flow, good bots, torches, nice details, flickering scarabs, no more dome above flag, no more moving platforms (instead you have to jump down then look for lift and move up again, well I guess this way you aren’t exposed on the platform anymore), no more base vortices for quick upward transport (instead you get jacked against the ceiling), and good powerup and weapon placement. This new version to me doesn’t really have better lighting, it’s just darker; possibly a better skybox, but just a slightly different base design with different routes. I’d have to say it is not better flow in the flag rooms, but just different. The gameplay is still fast and furious, but the bots don’t seem as tough as in the CTF-RB-Arid version. I’d actually prefer a darker old version with better skybox and stop there.
