    Advanced Regeneration [beta]

    Name: Advanced Regeneration

    Version: Beta 1.3

    Compatibility: UT2004 (tested on v3339)

Description: Mutator - Gives all players customizable health, shield, adrenaline and ammo regeneration.

    Comments:
The following is a list of the available options.

    Health Regeneration:

Health Regen Amount - The amount of health regeneration. If Health Regen Rate is 0, this is the health gain per second (on average). (Put 0 to disable health regen.)

Health Regen Rate - How often (in seconds) to give the Health Regen Amount. If this is 0, 'smooth regen' will be used (health is given one point at a time).

Health Regen Max % - The maximum amount of health to regenerate (expressed as percent of maximum health).

Health Regen Timeout - The number of seconds to wait after taking damage before continuing to regenerate health.

    Shield Regeneration:

    Shield Regen Amount

    Shield Regen Rate

    Shield Regen Max %

    Shield Regen Timeout

Wait for Health - Whether or not to wait for health to stop regenerating before regenerating shield.

    Adrenaline Regeneration:

    Adren. Regen Amount

    Adren. Regen Rate

    Adren. Regen Max %

Adren. Regen Timeout - The number of seconds to wait after finishing an adrenaline combo before continuing to regenerate adrenaline.

Override Adrenaline - Whether or not to force adrenaline to be enabled, even if the game-type or another mutator disables it.

    Ammo Regeneration:

Ammo Regen Amount (%) - The amount of ammo regeneration - expressed as % of maximum ammo, per second (on average). "Smooth regen" is always used. (Put 0 to disable ammo regen.)

Ammo Regen Amount for Super-weapons (%) - The amount of ammo regeneration for super-weapons - expressed as % of maximum ammo, per second (on average; 'smooth regen' is always used). (Put 0 to disable ammo regen.)

Ammo Regen Max % (Current) - The maximum amount of ammo to regenerate for the current weapon (expressed as % of max ammo).

Ammo Regen Max % (Other) - The maximum amount of ammo to regenerate for other weapons (expressed as % of max ammo).

Ammo Regen Timeout - The number of seconds to wait after firing before continuing to regenerate ammo.

Regen Current Weapon - Whether to regenerate ammo for the current weapon.

Regen Other Weapons - Whether to regenerate ammo for the weapons other than the current weapon.

Super Berserk Compatibility Mode - Enable this to use an alternate method of regeneration when the game is in Super Berserk mode, so that weapons don't fill to the maximum instantly.

    Randomisation:

    Random Scale Minimum -
Random Scale Maximum - Random Scale Minimum/Maximum are applied each time health, shield, adrenaline, or ammo is regenerated. Beware that scaling health or shield by a number less than 1.0 can result in "data loss" (it will turn 1 health into 0) :sour:. For ammo regeneration, this affects the regeneration speed.

    Version History

    Beta 1:
    - first public release

    Beta 1.1:
    - Replaced "Ammo Regen Max %" option with "Ammo Regen Max % (Current)" and "Ammo Regen Max % (Other)"

    Beta 1.2:
    - Added option "Ammo Regen Amount for Super-weapons (%)". For now, any weapon with a max ammo of < 5 is considered a super-weapon.
    - Maybe some minor modifications I've forgotten

    Beta 1.3:
    - Added option "Super Berserk Compatibility Mode". Enabling this should fix ammo regeneration with the Super Berserk mutator in, but it may cause other problems. (It is disabled by default.)

Very awsome. The menu was quick, easy to understand and set up. This mutator was EXACTLY what i have been looking for.

I do how ever have one request. Could there be an option to always regenerate ammo to 1? If I drain my link gun clean, which settings that do NOT regerate other weapons, then I need to pick up ammo to begin regerating ammo for that gun again. Having an option to restore all weapons to at least 1 ammo once ammo regeration begins would solve this little 'bug' (well, not a real bug, just a sorta annoying thing for myself).

            Thanks for your work!

I have thought about that, actually. What if I had a seperate "Maximum Regeneration" for weapons other than the current one? i.e. "Ammo Regen Max % Current" and "Ammo Regen Max % Other"...

Then you could turn on regen for other weapons, but have their maximum as 0.1%. Ammo Regen Max is rounded up, so unless your weapon has a maximum ammo higher than 1000, the maximum regen would be no more or less than 1 ammo. If you had the maximum as 1%, the minigun would get 3 ammo.

The current minimum value for "Ammo Regen Max %" is 1.0%, but I can easily change that.

It's about time there was a mutator like this!

                    Definitely going on my mutlist.

Advanced Regen Beta 1.1 is now available (see my original post).

The "Ammo Regen Max %" option has been replaced with:

Ammo Regen Max % (Current) - The maximum amount of ammo to regenerate for the current weapon (expressed as % of max ammo).

Ammo Regen Max % (Other) - The maximum amount of ammo to regenerate for other weapons (expressed as % of max ammo).

To make weapons other than the current weapon regenerate up to 1 ammo (or 0.1% if the weapon has a maximum of over 1000), set Ammo Regen Max % (Other) to 0.1%, and turn on regeneration for Other Weapons.

For me, if I tried to use this (in invasion at least), whenever someone switched weapons all their other ones disappeared. Had to remove it because of that

hmm... That doesn't happen to me (even in Invasion). PM me the [psAdvancedRegen.MutAdvancedRegen] section in your ini file, and a list of the other mutators you were using, and I'll see if I can figure out what's happening.

This is the sort of usefull thing that is worth keeping in your mut list for when you just feel like using it GJ
